When considering a skatepacking trip, it's important to consider every possible way to squeeze out every last bit of range from your esk8 while backpacking. In this video, I go over ten tips (plus two bonus tips) to maximize how far you can get in a single charge:
-Use appropriate wheels.
-Keep bearings cleaned & greased.
-Minimize inclines & overall elevation gain.
-Reduce wind resistance.
-Keep pack weight down and mind your own weight.
-Ride on slower speed settings.
-Warm up your battery if it’s cold.
-Be gentle with acceleration especially from a standstill.
-Take advantage of the 80%/20% charging curve.
-Stick to smooth surfaces.
-Use fast chargers
-Carry or pull your esk8 when relevant.
