3 for me lol and only because I listened to the original, then the Left 4 Dead animation made of it, and was finding it to make a meme video with Wario Land 4. Even then only after I scrolled, like the 7th recommended video, by luck and me happening to scroll down to the comments of that one did I happen to glimpse this and think I was hallucinating. It's like I had to take a jump to the left and step to the right to get here lol.
I showed this to my friend who is a fan of the Rocky Horror Picture show. Despite the fact this a great cover of the original , all he said about the video was that "Tenacious D is dressed like those hookers someone payed for when they were drunk and regretted paying for when they sobered up"
When the D covered "That Last in Line" Dio looked down upon Jables from heaven and, knowing he had rocked it completely, granted him... "The Voice". Now JB can take any song, any song, and elevate it to rock god status no matter what he happens to look like while doing it. Previously this has only been attained by Dio, and Meatloaf.
This was the last thing me & my Dad shared with each other before he died. We sent it to each other at the same time. It's so perfectly bittersweet & I can't think of anything more perfect. Thank you to everyone involved in this. You are all amazing & appreciated.
You and your dear, departed father have impeccable taste. This is a wonderful send-off song. I can only hope my own springlings do the same for me some day.
I just found this after reading about the sad passing of Meatloaf today... I cry every time I see a video that moves me in such a phenomenal way. I’m a big blubbering baby today! Love you guys!! ❤️
Bro, I haven't watched a single meatloaf video. My lady is, probably, the most understanding lady love on the planet, but even she would wonder how I could crumble so hard if I listened to meatloaf right now
You're a grown Man and not only did you ADMIT to crying, you admitted to crying all day?! It's a good thing you have an anonymous name on here. Ought to be ashamed of yourself.
@@skelter1153 crying doesn't make you any less of a man 🥰 if anyone isn't a real man on here, its you. ought to be ashamed of yourself for putting someone down for having feelings...
@skelter you should be ashamed of judging a man for not only crying but crying all day to a rock god. Real man cry, men who don't cry are obviously stay at home with mummy boys haha
I feel like Jack would make a good Beetlejuice, just with his insanely expressive and generally crazy nature/attitude, which was shown especially in this video.
With all due respect to Jack Black - and I mean lots of respect - Keaton is and will always be the only BeetleJuice. This isn’t Batman we are talking about here
Man, Jack Black can really sing... EDIT: I should clarify, I KNOW JB can sing. Been a fan for a while. However, I'm still in awe everytime I hear him sing something new. His Last In Line Cover is FANTASTIC!
@@BaneHydra until cancel culture finds that movie she did in like 75 when she says "where is that black bitch with my coffee" They will send a lynch mob for her after
@@who_is_asking No that doesn't meet the criteria. Has to be done in public or on social media. Movies don't qualify to summon the Wokesylvanians with the pitchforks and torches.
Kyle is such a trooper. If Jack Black is a kid, Kyle is the dog that Jack keeps sticking in a stroller and silly costumes & says "He likes it" when questioned.
@@BLUEBOYISLEDGE People associate him more with comedy than music. (Despite him having been a musician for decades.) It's why so many people are surprised when he gets in the groove and belts out a "serious" track.
His voice is astounding. At first I thought he was starting too high and too loud to be able to make it through the song, but I'll be damned, he hit those notes with dare I say it, tenacity.
This is so freak awesome but I’m really bummed they left the best verse of the song out. I was all excited to hear Jack belt out, “like your under sedation!”
honestly, Jack is my idol, he is a big man and does not care and is very comfy in his skin and body, wow, i wish i could be more like him, seriously, wow, keep it up buddy, you really are a true inspiration to us larger guys and girls with no confidence at all, you make big look sexy :)
Unfortunately, the majority of voters this will appeal to are not at all funny and are definitely crackheads. As you "jump to the left" please "skip the vote." Thanks in advance. Also, please don't procreate.
I don't think anyone puts as much passion and enthusiasm into their work as Jables! School of Rock, Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny... The guy loves to entertain especially alongside Mr Kyle Gass. Together = Overwhelming Greatness!!! 🤘😁🤘
Watching Jack black play funny songs like this and just his personality alone reminds me of my dad, just the amount of energy and the way he says stuff brings back memories. My dad passed away about 8 years ago due to a drug overdose and heart complications, but watching Jack black is like watching what my dad could have become, if he could have just quit the drugs...
I had an amazing and talented hilarious musician father who died too early due to self destructive behavior as well. He could’ve been huge. But fame isn’t everything. Carry on his legacy and be what he couldn’t.
@@Erik-vp5bm Some people have a low tolerance and have to ease, my sister is that way. If she has more than half a joint she gets very, very stoned. Just like alcohol, some people only need a tiny amount to feel the buzz.
At first I really thought Jables was miming over Riff-Raffs spoken intro, then I remembered this is The D. That was spooky how perfect he got the vocal tho, Jack if your reading this there are no words, you have to do The D do Rocky album now, it is a thing.
@@jamieaaw Just so you know we still don't know the actual song, The one we got was a tribute to the real song, But we really want the real song, After all it is the greatest song in the universe
@@nightcore1647 lol correct. Also, I just realized the guy I replied to earlier has deleted his comment lol I'm glad I took a screenshot. People crying "political propaganda" when it doesn't fit their agenda is so ridiculous, but also hilarious 😂😂
Draw your mind from Gal Gadot that woman is a gift, turn your eyes and look straightforward a virtue gazed upon in honor. Sarah's daughters are holy. All of the daughters of Eve are worthy of respect.
DONT SELL YOUR SOUL FOR TEMPORARY FAME AND FORTUNE - FOR WHAT DOES IT PROFIT A MAN TO GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD AND LOSE YOUR OWN SOUL! ACCEPT THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST AND HIS DEATH ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS AND BE SAVED FROM ETERNITY IN HELL!
@rabidhunter5 BRUH MAN YOU GO ON AND DRINK AND STEP OUT OF MY WAY! YOU SAY NOTHING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE "SHOVING SATANISM IN THEIR FACE" CROSS DRESSING ECT: DONT SAY NOTHING TO ME LIFTING UP JESUS!!!!
😂😂😂This is AWESOME!!! Jack Black is absolutely hilarious, he really gives his all into everything he does. He really looked like he was having a blast & wow can he still sing! Just LOVE LOVE LOVE TENACIOUS D😍👍👍👍
LMAO!! Jack Black nails the riff raff vibe straight from the beginning, I’m having flash backs from binge watching this movie when I was younger!! This is awesome stuff!
Oh my freaking God this truly rocked. As far as musicals go, there will NEVER be another like The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Thank you Tenacious D for one of the coolest videos I've seen in a long, long time! SO EPIC!!! 🤘😝🤘
Oh Wow! First of all, Jack Black's singing is an out of body experience. The chills just go up and down my spine. Well done! Now for anyone interested, here is, to my best guess, the guest contributors and when they appear, and sorry if someone already did this. First: Jump to the left Susan Sarandon .53 Michael Peña :55 Reggie Watts :56 Second: Put your hands on your hips John Waters 1:02 Senator Elizabeth Warren 1:04 John Heilemann 1:05 Third: Jump to the left George Takei 1:52 Karen O 1:53 Ezra Miller 1:55 Fourth: Put your hands on your hips Jamie Lee Curtis 2:01 Eric Andre 2:03 Fifth: Jump to the left Phoebe Bridgers 2:24 Sarah Silverman 2:26 Mayor Pete Buttigieg 2:27 Sixth: Put your hands on your hips Ilana Glazer 2:32 King Princess 2:34 Peaches 2:36
Huh. Cool. I was lost on most of them myself. Only 5 of those 17 people were anybody I recognized (Sarandon, Waters, Takei, Curtis, Silverman), and out of other 12 I think I've only ever even heard of 2 of them before (I've seen some mention here and there of the politicians: Warren and Buttigieg).
