When I put my finger on the string that I’ve just plucked, it doesn’t keep making any noise like his does. The sound just comes to a dead stop, so it doesn’t make the right sound, and it’s not even that I’m pressing it down too hard either. Even when I lightly touch it, it doesn’t slightly change the tune, it just stops. What might the problem be?? I’m confused why mine isn’t doing the same thing as his!

Andy, I started playing the guitar 3 weeks ago, I got this lick down but I have one question. How come my hammer ons sound so damn quiet compared to yours? Any help would be appreciated.

Because he is punching his fingers into the fret board. You have to punch as hard as you can! Seriously though, its just years of developing hand strength and dexterity. I know the feeling. Lol.

If you’re just starting out and you can’t get the sound but you want to play it just pick the same string again after you’ve put your finger on it, but I suggest you keep practicing your hammer ons

@@andycrowley Andy, quick question. Your hammer ons sound so pronounced even though you're not even picking the hammer on string alone, you're playing the strings all together. How come with mine you can barely hear them?
