@@devvolad7520 100 years ago the life expectency for a white american man was 46.6 years. Today it's 77.2. so yeah, Not that old but getting up there. Wiser than most !
Dear anyone who has ever played in a band and spontaneously jammed out the greatest song you’ve ever written during a late night session… only to forget it the next day. This is our song.
this really hits home. its simultaneously heartbreaking and mindblowing at the same time. its beautiful to be able to share such an experience with your buds
It’s amazing to me that Kyle lost almost all of his hair like 20 years ago, but that little bit in the back has just been holding on for dear life since then.
The hair about level with the top of your ear to the bottom of your ear, along the back of your head, never balds on anyone. All the rest can bald depending on genetics.
The fact that all of the audience knows every single word and sound just shows how wonderfully iconic Tenacious D is. We grew up with them, Jack in particular is such a staple actor and personality which pops up all over my childhood in various media. It would be amazing if I ever had the chance to view them live
In all fairness..... it'd be kinda odd to go to a a Tenacious D concert with the mindset of "Gee, I wonder what kind of band this is?" I mean.... you either KNOW the name of Jack Black's band and can recite at LEAST their most popular songs word-for-word... or you kinda have no idea who they are whatsoever.
Yup, that we do - i spent the last half of a festival Mute, becase there were.. singing along :D Seen them twice, and i always loved Jack Black whatever he was in, you can never go wrong with school of rock.
@@gobbel600 Completely black the bus, hot and still wet/sweaty here. The driver was reading a newspaper inside, while he was waiting for the german tourists to get back in from the sightseeing. Sunny and windy, 23°.Tough I can't post here the photo.
Jack Black actually has even better command of his voice than he did in early D years. Even though he drives his voice at times, you can also tell he takes good care of his vocal instrument.
@@joncoger9916 Very good, Jon. That’s a great analogy. The truth is, many singers don’t take care of their voice. Either they never bothered to learn good vocal technique and they simply rely on their youthful vocal health and power, causing them to constantly damage their voice with each performance, (in the same way NBA players decline when their athleticism fades-some adjust their game, some just get worse and retire), or they party too hard and wear out their voice that way. Jack has obviously taken voice lessons and is purposefully doing things on stage to take care of his voice and maintain longevity-much like LeBron. Good call.
@@joncoger9916 I think he's referring to the fact that people usually lose their vocal range and the quality of there voice typically declines as they get older. Jack's not exactly and old man but he is in his fifties now and it's def more common for singers voices to be worse in their fifties compared to their 20's. Even with your lebron comparison he will most certainly reach an age where he is worse at basketball than he was when he was younger.
This song symbolizes the impulse of all human attempts to arrive at perfection and the pinnacle of any endeavour. There is so much beauty in an honest tribute alone that is worthy of worship. Through the struggle to achieve that which cannot be named lies redemption for us all.
Why does the crowd singing along so loud and killing it bring a tear to my eyes? Maybe it's all the good memories to Tenacious D and seeing other people that probably feel the same. So glad to see them killing it still to this day.
This was basically the case for every song from the pick of destiny and their original album. While it normally annoys me, I personally couldn't not join in. You could still hear the band.
I can't believe how long its been since this song came out, sheesh. Showing our ages. Its been an honor to watch J.B. for the past 2.5 decades his love for music and food now is unmatched by any. Man of oh so many talents
How did that comparison even come up? They aren't even in the same realm, musically, lyrically, or otherwise. Would you compare Rodney Carrington to Van Halen? It makes no since. They're not even in the same realm.
I was at this show and, let me tell you, nothing can capture the whole audience jumping at "we are but men... ROCK. ON" but some sort of maddening virtual sensory tank that won't be invented for another 70 years.
It has already been said, but these two are insanely epic. The amount of talent is truly remarkable, and I hope they are with us for many years to come.
Jack Black is a true legend in the true sense, feeling and living the music of Rock in his mind and body. Rock is the food of life for him, which keeps him alive to entertain us all. He is amazing!
i Absolutely fall in love with this entire album every time i remember it exists, it's the first thing other than Metallica and Static X i was willing to actually pay money for back when it came out 😄👍
Legends!!!! So happy for them, from the start they wanted to have fun and create music and they have done just that! I remember when they first started in 1994 I was in the Army and was blown away by them, been listening ever since!
