I love Tencel, lyocell. The fabric looks so good for so long. The first time I purchased am item made from Tencel that I never want to get rid of because I love the fabric but I do not see it often. It is beautiful and durable.

I love tencel because as a pillow, its has toughness and doesnt disappear around my head. It keeps its shape. Thats why I have 10 of them

Does it shrink?
@jerolvilladolid
@jerolvilladolid 3 года назад
MAHESH BM MAHESH BM You have to put it in a tight pillowcase. Since its fiber, it will never shrink if it doesnt have space to disappear into. But the tencel pillows I have placed in oversized pillowcases have totally flattened

I bought a jumpsuit for my daughter that is made of Tencel. At the time I had no idea what that was and I was so upset with myself that I bought (at the time I thought it was a synthetic) something that wasn't biodegradable. The first time I washed it I thought I ruined it - it came out stiff and hard....lol. It was then I looked it up and realized what it really was! Popped it on my clothes line and it dried soft, pliable and just all around beautiful again!

Why were you so upset that the clothing wasn't biodegradable? Synthetic fabrics are better for environment because they last forever.

@@Jack_Stafford how is it good for the environment when there's 100s of millions of clothes made with 1000s of carcinogenic chemicals in each one causing pollution, trash, and cancer in our bodies that noone likes to talk about.

@@jazminboone3446 you didn't answer my very very simple question.
@Jack_Stafford
@Jack_Stafford 4 года назад
@@jazminboone3446 clothes by themselves do not cause any kind of pollution. If they are durable and last a long time they can be used over and over again, passed to other people and in the best way be recyclable. They do not just burst into flame and start causing pollution. Your argument is flawed.

@@Jack_Stafford Synthetic fibers, are like a silent killer, just like certain food. Life was simple just using natural things before, without much health concerns until mankind fucked it up...so now its good to try to undo the fuckup as best as possible...you don't want Synthetic fibers passed down your family line or to others because all those chemicals are bad and even though we don't pay attention, our skin absorbs stuff..and then it can seem like "how did I get this disease eventhough I'm eating healthy"..its other factors..even just washing clothes, it makes the bad fibers trail into the water system harming the little fishies lol...I think its like the circle of life..we all affect someone/thing in a way..imagine babies getting eczema and rashes from the Synthetic materials

Hi...love the video. I wanted to know how can I fix my dress that is made of tencel. I washed my new dress and when its dried out there are kinda white lines on the dress. I'm wondering if I can still fix it.

is 70% Lyocell, 30% cotton a good shirt?

Awesome description! So is there anything at all that cotton does better? Like anything that all that it does even just a little better? I’m guessing cotton is cheaper, but anything else?

so ... okay, i've been avoiding, as much as possible [sometimes, polyester is unavoidable, like with "Heathers"], polyester and spandex in my jeans, say, because they're accelerants and because they inhibit the breathability that 100% cotton jeans have--not to mention, having the synthetic fibers weaved in, in my experience, weakens the integrity of the jeans. would having 70% cotton and 30% Tencel reduce the breathability and weaken the structure of the denim weave? i'm window shopping at Bulwark.com, and i'm wondering about their lightweight FR jeans ... www.bulwark.com/mens-relaxed-lightweight-fr-jean/PTJM.html

stalker286 Tencel is some of the most durable fabric out there!! I have some jeans that are a cotton/Tencel blend. You will be surprised by their softness against your skin, and I think Tencel will actually make the jeans more breathable.

Very informative, but the background noice is not pleasant. Also, are we to really believe that the trees are grown in land that are not useful ? What kind of trees? and the chemical and dyes are NOT eco-friendly

Once again excellent information, but why not use natural fiber like cotton instead of a man-made processed wood pulp fiber?
