Just showing a quick demo run of Tenchu 1 running on the epsx emulator. Im not trying for a high score or a record breaking run. Im just playing for fun with some cheats :)
Hey Gamer, Thanks for making your way to the garden on level 1 (3:47) Regardless of counted the decades since its debut, Tenchu will forever remain a spiritual benchmark in my wicked and solitaire youth. The garden in level one is what i am modeling my actual front yard. It's nothing to accomplish over night, yet the long haul is worth the journey. All things tranquil. All things Zen. Christ is Sovereign.
It was always hard for me to see the map due to it being so dark. It's a beautiful level. It would be awesome to have a 3d model of it or something so we could see it better. :r
It's funny how the very first Tenchu's backgrounds were so plain. You play the new ones now and the detail is amazing. All in all, I love this game. I was amazed when I first played it. This shit is a classic!
I used to love this as a kid , theres so many poor souls that havent even heard of this game or played it in their childhood. Its under rated , but for those that played it like us know it was a amazing game ,!!! I think I was what umm 13 when I first played this , Tenchi 2 was even better .
Holy shit, I love this game. I had totally forgotten about it until I saw someone with the name Riki Marru, which reminded me of this. I had such good times playing this as a kid with my older brother. Same with Tony Hawk 1, 2 & 3. I really miss those days.
"Looks like you chose the wrong part-tee too k-waa-shh." One of my favourite games. The sequels never came close to being as good as this...they gave more points for killing more people...just the target kill should get the most points. Still got the game...must replay it.
dude, although u r not playing this game as you should to attain the great 'Grand Master' title I cant hate on this! I love this game! And I wish they ever release a remake on PSN I dont care to pay for it again... I lost the original copy's for Psone so that would really ease the pain! Let make a Tenchu petition for a real HD remake of tenchu 1 and 2 since that were definatly the best ones in the series, still listen to the soundtracks from the first 2 games, they were awesome!
@xboxvidiot well they made tenchu 4 in 2008 on the wii and declared it as a new trilogy. 5 and 6 are also coming out on the wii or wii u so i believe. but i dont think anything will be as ever good as tenchu 1 and 2 still are! the best of the best in the ps1 era! still remains my fav game today. such a deep story with skilful gameplay and challenging bosses. the best of the best!
C'mon - when you had access to a computer in the '90s - you know you're gonna be writing down some cheats for a couple of games ;P but yeah, loved this game.
I dont think it is, but i do notice there are a few levels that have the same objectives and level name. Both have a level called " Punish The Evil Merchant " Tenchu Z also has a level called that as well.
@parkfrankline I stated in the video that i was playing just for fun in this video and not for a record breaking run. Why do people not read the discription on vids before posting ?
@alilsneaky i clearly stated that i wasnt playing to attain a high score or a record breaking run of stealth or anything of that sort. I said it was a quick demo demonstrating the playstation emulator. Go troll someone elses page. Besides, if the programers didnt intend for playing like i just demonstrated then why would they allow u to do so. I do believe that having " A CHOICE " in how you approach objectives in games like this is what makes it fun.
i think its funny that nearly every 1st level on tenchu is punish the evil merchant u would think that the echigoya family would learn but no as long as there's a tenchu game there's some merchant called echigoya that u have to kill
if you look at Tenchu Z and this then you can really see how far they taken it i really hope they will make an even better tenchu game where you can run free like a RPG Tenchu game that would be perfect xD
@thunderssound Its a challenge to get the " Grand Master " rating on all missions. If u can do that then i applaud you. If u already have then kudos to you brother ;)
I loved this game, played it LOADS!!! people whining about the cheating its sad! I alwaysed used them it way its their. but also played them properly also. ITS FUN!!!.

Hmm. fair point. IMO I found 1 and 3 to be the most enjoyable. 2 seemed kind of mediocre and I hated that the game locked you into a tutorial before you actually got to play. Tenchu: Fatal Shadows, which was separated from the main timeline, was enjoyable as well.
@loooongcatmeow i would understand that, but my video is not the only tenchu 1 video on youtube. If you are looking for perfect strategy on this game then i would suggest doing a search on it.
Now i could understand if i was to say " I am playing competatively with cheats " but i know it says " Im just playing for FUN with some cheats " key word was fun i believe. If you dont like the fact that i used cheats, then by all means dont view my video. Go troll someone elses vid. Not one ounce of fuck shall be given ;)
I still think the first one is the definitive version out of all of them. Its one of those rare games that the first one is absolute perfection and making any more after that trying to improve it just doesnt work cause how do you improve perfect ?
took that long to finish that level? I would have just bypassed most of the guards, come in through roof access, drop assassinate one of the guards in front of echigoya's hiding place and finished the game without using any special items.
