Mother and daughter duet at the Northern California Bluegrass Society (NCBS) 3rd annual award show. Michael Hall president of NCBS. This song is written by Jan Garrett.
Thank you AJ Lee and Mom ...it's so beautiful to see and hear young folks carry on ... thanks be to God, moms and all ... Dear AJ please don't compromise your gifts for money or fame
What a blessing she is. And a blessing for you, mom, to be chosen to be her guide. She has an amazing future ahead, though the present is no less so. Lovin it! ~KP in Little Rock (I grew up in northern Cali)
Thank you for the inspiring comments! Why does it seems like it's a parent's job is to unknowingly embarrass their teens (especially in public, whether shopping or singing)? However, this was a great time for AJ and I to share what we both really like to do. She is a busy freshman these days and I get as much joy from seeing and hearing her play as you. She will be streaming live in CA with the Tuttles tomorrow night 8pm PST at concertwindow. Love and Rejoice Always, Betsy
I'm a huge fan of Sarah Jarosz and Sierra Hull. I've added you to the trio. I understand you have met Sarah and Sierra. My wife calls you my three little angels, because all three have the voice of an angel. Aissa, if you are ever playing anywhere near Baltimore, MD, I will be in the audience. I'd like to meet you. I've met Sierra, but I haven't met Sarah yet. I'm an old bluegrass guitar, banjo, and mandolin player.
I love this song, it brings me such peace when I am troubled. AJ, you sing so beautifully, and Betsy, your harmony on this song was lovely. Thank you both for sharing with the public.
AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! I just heard this girl sing a couple of days ago and can't get enough! It's like having your ears massaged! Beautiful beautiful tone! And that's a very rare thing in the age of lip-synching and ridiculously effected voices.
If i want to feel really good inside ,I listen to you young lady ,thank you so much --your Mom is awesome too lol love the songs all thru your life --It's the feel good stuff :)
I've watched just about everyone one of your videos and had what I thought was my "favorite" picked out, until I ran across this one. Now I don't have any doubts. This is definitely my favorite.
I have been watching this occasionally for over ten years. A good singer at that age. A great singer now. A fine mother/daughter duet. From her being at the Northern California Festivals, she introduced me to Kate Wolf. That great, late, singer/songwriter.
A rare, beautiful, precious moment at 4:22 when Mother and daughter make eye contact near the end of this beautiful song. Jesus will come soon to bring his children home with him; be ready and watching.
Hi AJ, normally, children who try to sing "grown up" songs invariably fail to pull it off and end up being annoying, not you though, your voice portrays a maturity beyond your years, I hope I'm around when you're older, I can only imagine how good you're going to be, keep it up, don't fall by the wayside, and be remembered forever for all the right reasons.
