Cannister removal inspired by Guido’s video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-o9au_jsduuM.html Perhaps there’s another weight saving mod inspired by the same video coming, we’ll see 😁
Nice, will do this too.. By the way guys, i searched to see if we have a sneak pick on Johannes choice of new suspension. But I found nothing. Waiting on updates for that! 😄
A charcoal canister? Really? What a load of bollocks. Between California and Euro regs, soon the exhaust will be routed straight back into the airbox! You’re right though…a great spot for a tool tube. Time for some fabrication Johannes!
Love the comment at 4:58: "That is why I did this. Not to save 500 grams or to upset Greta." Nice overview Johannes. I'm doing this mod on my T7, and yes, I live in Arizona and I don't need the hard hot start problem. Plus I need a vacuum port for the Scottoiler automatic chain oiler that I'm installing.
It is possible to remove it charcoal canister without cutting the rubber. You can just twist and pull it out. Also you can get rid of all the tubing if you get Acerbis venting tank cap.
Hi Johannes, Charcoal Canister? Solenoid? Oh Man - this tech will never stay in my Garage. I take my tools on the Front of my Bashplate, way deeper and not into the hot Enginebay. I`m very interested how your setup work for you. Best Regards min venn, Alfred
Hei Alfred! And the T7 is one of the least tech heavy modern bikes, imagine that! That's a good spot for tools, I'm not sure if I'll stash them in there or not, I'm actually very happy with the spot underneath the seat. All the best!
I honestly don't know, haven't spent any time trying to find the answer to that, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was, "everything" is illegal these days..
@@johnnyblue4799here in germany it is technically illegal to remove that stuff, however, nobody is ever going to notice that you did it. The TÜV (german MOT) doesn't check if it's there and nobody else will either.
