One of the best vids I've seen for a while! Been a visitor to Americas for over 30 years - normally stay at the Cleopatra/Med however this hotel and a stay in the UP room has always been highly recommended - as for VFM this one seems decent! Thanks again!
Thank you! It was during the pandemic when we went so fairly quiet but it was the best. The room we had was an UP XL I believe, those have the huge balconies but some are better than others so you’d have to ask for one of the ones near the top of the hotel with big balcony, like the one on the website. That’s what I said to them anyway! Ha. But thank you again.
Great video, thanks for sharing. Staying at the Vulcano in September. Have I made a good choice and any comments on the food? Congrats on you marriage.
Thank you! We both thought the hotel was amazing. It was in the middle of the pandemic and fairly quiet so I can’t say what it would be like now but we’d 100% love to go back. I’m sure you’ll love it 👍🏻
If you book an UP! Room it should include access to the terrace and bar, you don’t need to go all inclusive. There’s also some food on the UP! terrace too. All the drinks there were premium brands and the cocktails were amazing.
Hi, I’m not sure if I can answer this honestly as my visit here was during the lockdown phase in 2020 so it was quieter than usual. Ive done quite a bit of solo travelling in the past though and say “why not” just go for it. Tripadvisor might have some reviews from solo travellers to here. Sorry if that’s not much help.
@@ganderson25 it does look lovely! Can you visit and stay for the day without being a guest and just pay for food & drink whilst there etc? We looked at this hotel but booked Vulcano hotel for July & would like to go and stay in Santiago for the day after seeing your video!
@@phallon5013 I think the bars in Parque Santiago are public anyway. We only just walked through it but I’ve seen on other videos that you can have food and drink there even if you aren’t staying there.
@@carlahill1701 We did. There’s the possibility of adding it on when you arrive I believe but it depends on how many people are already booked. I think there’s a minimum number of days you can do it for like 3 maybe. The hotel staff were quite good at replying to emails so could be worth checking in with them.
@@ganderson25 would you reccomend this hotel for a young couple. My partner and I are just 30 and we do want something that would have other people our age? We would be looking to go on a couple of nights out - not too crazy all the time but we still fancy a wee party.
@@carlahill1701 I would. We went last August, the UP terrace was mostly 20-50 yer olds. We are mid-30s. It’s very close to Safari centre and lots of bars and restaurants. The main dining room seemed a bit older in evening so I think maybe the UP terrace is aimed more at the younger folk.
