I understand what your saying about tourists ,I am a taxi driver in the beautiful city of York, I didn't work for 18 months as we had no tourist's during the lock downs and it takes a toll on your business.

Thanks Daniel for letting us see how beautiful Palma is and how important tourism is. I'm sure many will go because of the volcano, its just sad about the other side of what's happened because of the financial hardship for many that lost their homes 🙏

Great vlog! I remember crossing on the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare as a child and everyone on the ferry was sick, the Irish Sea was so rough that night.

Very interesting and informative vlog Daniel. Such a beautiful island and you really feel for the poor people affected by the eruption. Cumbre Vieja is sooo loud!! We plan to visit La Palma eventually - we’re regular visitors to Lanzarote and have visited Tenerife once as well (should’ve been there in 2020 as well but it got cancelled for obvious reasons 🙁). Keep up the great work 👍🏼😁

Great footage Dan, i sat on 1 of the benches in los chris and thought about the people who has lost their homes and business's,the pets that got left behind,Yes they will rebuild and start a new,but i feel the emotional scars will be there for a long time and hope they get the help they will need..Ive sent £50 donation to them with the euro's i came back with....On a brighter note Katie ( flip flops and socks lol ) she ended up throwing them,was great catching up with you man and answering some questions i had re- the trips......See you in May!

Yes, they need tourists - I heard on another video that they have far fewer hotels or motels on La Palma than pre-Covid. I understand they lost many hotels during Covid and many actually shut down. Then the lava destroyed other hotels and I heard the hotels remaining number is in the 40's. I also saw videos showing tourists were parking in restricted residential areas blocking driveways of the residents. And when asked to move their cars off driveways, some of tourists have refused. They may need tourists - but they do need places to stay - and they don't need to be parking in areas they are not supposed to. Tourists need to be very thoughtful and sensitive of where they are, the restrictions, and of the residents who have been going through hell for the last 5 weeks.

It's such a pity that the fundacion tutelar and hospital insular Tenerife in lanzarote don't donate some of my mum's sale of her villa instead of them greedy " theft -of-state- (bstrds) taking my inheritance! i can't afford a lawyer to get powers of attorney for my mum's guardianship, she's currently in hospital insular because she's got dementia and can't hardly walk,they won't let me in lanzarote to see her because im not vxd because of my many allergies plus im partially disabled with health problems, my mum's villa is just sitting there in puerto del Carmen rotting basically, i can't afford a lawyer and even if i could their not trustworthy, any advice for me ?GOD Bless you !
