I'm from Morocco and love the canary islands - Historically the canary islands are inhabited by the berber/Amazigh people from North Africa before the Spain's annexation, from then cultures and habits were harmonised to make the canarian identity what it is today. By the way Tenerife is a berber name meaning "The land of thirst" even though others suggested it meant "white mountain" but i believe the former is the most accurate as i'm native berber speaker.
Someone is dreaming here... i guess Canarias is part of Spain in any single aspect obviously few things from the past were kept as the small amount of the original population mixed mainly with castellanos y sevillanos also portugueses in la Palma, and few more influences through the last 600 years. Our real and only brothers are in Cuba, Venezuela etc, the rest are just lies of today to create problems. Sorry but it's like it is.
@@alfredoantunez9679 . I got it. For sure some politicians are taking advantages of it. Plus the media, which it is the number one pro conflict organization in the world.
Anyway I have visited all the islands in various occasions and although they all have their charm I still think that Tenerife is the one that offers a greater diversity in both entertainment activities, sites to visit and in variety of landscapes of the whole Canaries.
Tenerife without visiting Puerto de la Cruz on the Atlantic side?? A charming and beautiful town with a botanical garden, unique chain of swimming pools at the edge of the rocky shoreline, the black sand beach? And no visit to Orotava? An old, pretty and historic town on the mountainside, on the way to Teide Volcano. There is no road all the way around the island. One goes from the airport south to the tourist beaches of the south, the other goes north to the capitol and around the island past La Laguna to Puerto de la Cruz. The Atlantic's powerful waves crashing upon the black, volcanic rocks at the Citadel of Puerto de la Cruz shake the earth and are fascinating to watch.
Puerto de la Cruz and its surrounding (in fact whole northern coast from Icod de los vinos and Garachico in the west to Agana NP and Taganana village in ,the east) is must to see for everyone who isn't visiting Tenerife just because of food and swimming. However, I must correct the former comment: there indeed doesn't exist a competed highway, but there is a rather good road that goes all around the island. The north highway goes even further to the west then just Puerto de la Cruz and the southern one makes a turn at the lowest point and goes for cca 15km along the western side of the island, so there are only several dozen kilometers of ordinary, non-highway road that connect these terminal points. There is even a road that goes through the middle part of the island but it climbs to more than 2300 meters above sea level.
Islas hermosísimas y de ensueño. Su belleza natural se incrementa con el carácter creativo y laborioso de sus habitantes. Unos y otros se complementan.
How anyone can give this video a thumbs down defies logic. it's one of the best videos made about Tenerife and we've shared it multiple times on social media and the response was fantastic.
You should do one on San Sebastian, Basque Country, beautiful, cultural and relaxing city, with the most beautiful views ever. By the way, good job with this video!
I agree! San Sebastian is beautiful, esp from the point overlooking the crescent beach which edges the city. Great food and a wonderful, sophisticated city.
Mis abuelos paternos son de aquí y nunca los conocí 😞. Migraron a Puerto Rico , y luego regresaron a su hermoso Tenerife 🥲… quiero ir este año a conocer parte de mis raíces 😍

You showed some pictures of it but you didn't really mention Puerto de la Cruz, one of the best places to see and one of the most beautiful parts of the island. That is where the beautiful Playa Jardin is located.
