They shoot the movie in temporal pincer movement. Half of the crews moving forwards in time, and other half moving backwards. So basicly they're shooting the movie after the movie came out.
Other movies showed simple concept of time travel with complex time travel machines. Nolan's Tenet showed complex concept of time travel with simple time travel machine. Literally... his time travel machine is just a rotating room.
Same thing, they still end up traveling back in time it’s just that they get to experience the environment while traveling instead of just being zapped back in time ...
I had thought that the car chase filming was maybe played backwards to make the reverse effect.. now I see that the car scene in backwards world everyone was actually driving backwards but the car being filmed... awesome
@@INCAVE I have a few questions. Did you take videos of this personally or was it someone else? If it was you how did you know they were shooting in the area? What is Tallinn like since I've wanted to go there badly?
@@phantasmagorical4422 My brother lives there. These videos were filmed from the balcony of this apartment. They filmed Tenet there for several weeks. Tallinn is beautiful place you should visit ;)
I’m still amazed how he thought of the idea of time inversion being the main attraction of the movie rather than a time travel type plot. Straight up brilliant and done very well but if the movie was just 20 minutes longer it would’ve been nice but for what we got it was really good especially if you understand it lol
Did you know that the wb behind the scenes video is just the shortened version of the actual behind the scenes on the bluray? Its 1 hour long of coolness.
This is really confusing... I don't get what scene in the movie matches with what they're doing here. Which part of the chase did they revert and which part didn't they reverse, lmao
I think the filming probably followed the character's perspectives, so when in the film they are moving forwards in time, the cars move forwards, and when they go backwards they go backwards, with a few exceptions. They don't want what you are seeing on screen to look wonky when it is suppose to be normal forward motion, but it is fine if backwards motion seems normal or wonky as we have no instinct for how it should look and wouldn't easily be able to tell. Some scenes like 4:02 which was where the backwards chase begins, are shot backwards and then played in reverse to seem like normal time though as stunts like suddenly turning the car 180 degrees and squealing the tires is hard to fake in anything but real forward time so if you want it in reverse you need to film everything else in reverse and reverse the footage
They filmed scenes in both directions. The actors had to learn to walk/run and sometimes do their lines in reverse. Nolan said there’s only a couple shots where they just reversed the footage.
Lol, even the making of looks crazy. Cars constantly driving forwards and backwards in an exact choreography. Wonder, what the locals must have thought back then.
Nolan masternof practical effects. Wgen he didnt use animation to portray the black hole and the interstellar robot and spaceships, u think he will use animation to show an actor??
Sadly, the movie bombed at the box office. 2020 was a bad time to release high budget titles. I hope James Bond movie will be postponed again until the world recovers.
@@sudiptoghosh53 One of the recent episodes of Corridor Crew covered roll speed. I forget which one. But they did talk about the pros and cons of doing it during filming vs interpolating it in post.
@@sudiptoghosh53 I hope you like it. Corridor Crew is awesome in general as they talk about tons of stuff that is done, both great and bad, in the movie industry.
