@@noahsemets4031 pretty sure he's talking about how some notes are reversed like in tenet, with the particles travelling in reverse and the sound in reverse. like at 1:44
@@deepeshmalhotra3896 assuming you're talking about how he edited it? if so, he recorded himself playing the song backwards with only the right hand. then he recorded himself playing the song normally with only the left hand then he masked the footage of the right hand and the left hand pianos so that he could put them together seamlessly then he reversed the footage of himself playing the right hand backwards, so that it sounds normal but has the reversed effect. sorry if i'm bad at explaining and this is only an assumption of how he did it
Truly wonderful. I watched it in IMAX a few weeks ago and it was one of the best films I've seen in a long time. Christopher Nolan always picks the greatest :)
@@littlehollow thats why I tell people..home theaters will never EVER surpass the movie going experience!! No only because of the screen size..but there's something about watching a movie with strangers at the theater and feeling there energy and laughter and cries..etc that you just can't duplicate at home!!
Pretty much, yeah. Also, I cant hep but notice a Tokyo Ghoul pfp in the comment section of a piano video. Think it might interest you to know that I played Animenz's unravel in school, and posted a video of it on my channel.
Is nobody going to talk about how small he starts the inversion with just one note being caught at 0:42? It's a great parrallel of how inversion starts off with such small things in the movie.
@@watcher8582 In this context, inversion refers to part of the note's sound, 0:42, the entire notes sound, 1:44, or both the notes sound and the visuals, the end of the piece, being played in reverse. This results in notes sounding weird and starting quiter and climbing to a loud cut-off. Basically, inversion is reversing the entropy of anything; in this case, Patrik is employing a pseudo-inversion because he cannot actually reverse entropy of his recordings.
Go see it! The story was very mediocre, but the action, plot, special effects and concepts are just brilliant and the third act deserves to be seen on the big screen.
@@JoshuaKallenberg sadly no theatres are open in my country so only way is to torrent it, but that would be a crime on cinema so ia m patiently waiting for the theatres to open...
The Dark Knight Rises: crashing planes with no survivors Inception: things within other things Interstellar: spinning Tenet: going backwards What's next from Nolan?
Fans: You never told us who recruited you to play this magnificent arrangement... Patrik: Haven't you guessed by now? You did. You have a future in the past.
I love all the inverted parts, not only the effects but the sound. I also adored one of the last parts where the keys came out of the piano instead of the sky at 5:02
I've been stuck for hours just watching all of your videos, over and over.. can't believe how talented you are. I'd pay a million to be your student. Absolutely amazing Patrik, absolutely beautiful, all of your arrangements. Made me cry with This Land (Lion King) - had my jaw drop with httyd theme. I'm amazed, I have no other words. Legend.
An absolute beauty of an arrangement. The inverted parts reach all the way to the depths of your soul. Pure magic. And as always Mr. Nolan created a masterpiece.
1:45 - this is so smart :) thanks for the upload, great work! edit: to the people who mentioned the particles already: its not just the particles. i think the entire tone is backwards. you can hear it :)
This movie's main score is incredible. But the whole sound mixing is subpar. There were parts where i couldt hear a single thing anyone said bcuz it was muffled by the over the top background bass
I'm not actually sure anymore how many times I have watched this now. Truly truly appreciate the fact that you have shared this for everyone to enjoy and be completely absorbed by it's beauty. It actually moved me to tears. Not sure the last time a piece of music has done that to me. And for me, that is exactly what music is about. Thank you.
This is incredible! Probably the best cover for the Tenet soundtrack for piano out there. The reverse effects looked amazing too and added to the great feel of the cover. Can not wait to see your next cover!
Göransson's music style is definitely very different from Hanz Zimmer. It makes a strange feeling in me...I've never heard such a style before and its beautiful and kinf od scary at the same time. It fits very well to TENET movie because it encompasses the complexity of the movie and yet packs some kind of constant sobriety..I don't know why I chose these words to describe his music, but that's how I feel it...It sounds to me like things never change, but they do changer inevitably and it describes our moral responsibility to not alter the present and the future for future generations. The message of the movie might be "Don't mess with the future and with time"...
please consider these to do these next Anakins Betrayal Battle of the Heroes suite (a combination of anakins vs obi wan and battle of the heroes) The kraken theme (Pirates of the carribbean) Anakins Dark deeds No time for caution Tokyo Ghoul unravel Thank you!
Me: Listens to Patrik's arrangement of the Tenet theme... ...theme concludes... ...enters turnstile and listens inverted... ...theme reaches beginning... ...re-enters turnstile... ...listens again playing forward. "This is so good. Let's go again!" ... Patrik: "You know you can just hit the replay button, right?" ...
That was absolutely fantastic Patric, it was amazing. I absolutely loved it when you made the particles go in instead of out. SO COOL! Can't wait for the next one, KEEP IT UP!
I have purchased several of your arrangements, and this has been by far my favorite to learn. I enjoy experimenting with different intros, instrumentations, endings etc. But otherwise, thank you so much. You made me realize a whole different depth to how a piano can sound, and you've inspired my own creativity inside. Thank you for making me a better musician! My 2nd fav so far, was your "Now We are Free" version. Never stop this passion, Patrik. God Bless
PredaTeur no, there is no maths at all... If you change the direction of the flow of entropy than things like the perception heat changes to the opposite, so do likes and dis-liles.
The world NEEDS to hear you play Archangel by TSFH! There's not a piano version out that brings any justice to the original composition! You're the one that could bring that masterpiece to the ears of millions! Please consider it! You're amazing! Thank you for the light you bring the world!
