the "Uppermoon" he killed wasn't even the strength of lower moons, Kaigaku was just a quick replacement and had only just turned into a demon at the time.

If Zenitsu hadn't a mental barrier of killing his sempai and trained more just like Kaigaku would've and used godspeed after 8forld or something combined with saying that godspeed was his fastest, he could suprise Kaigaku, thinking that he could beat Zenitsu if that was his fastest. And after that use 7th form wich is way faster, Kaigaku could've not expected that combined with the anger he had against Zenitsu, his overconfidence, he could have lost his posture and left an opening for Zenitsu

Zenitsu could've also made him more angry. If you fight someone stronger, you gotta use your brain

​@@R3DSHlFT still if he fought gyutaro he would be dead already being mentally focused doesn't mean you have all you need to defeat a real upper rank like gyutaro and gyokko even with his 7th form which his fans made it overrated he would lose to gyutaro low diff and if he really had some durability (I doubt it cause from what I have seen he was the least durable one among the tanjiro squad ) he would still lose mid diff at maximum I don't mean he is too weak but it's realistic his fans couldn't accept the reality so they always make excuses and place him the second after tanjiro in the squad ranking even though more people deserve that place like genya and kanao
