I was in Africa in January had to come back to America when covid started. I didnt want to leave. Africa is soooooo beautiful from the land, music and the people. My people. If you are black American I encourage you to go to Africa it will change you're life. Dont believe the lies they tell us about our home in the states. Africa is truly the mother land.
We thank our Nigerian forefathers for inspiring the younger generations to churn out super-beats. Thank you Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Osadebe, Sunny Ade, Ebenezr Obe, oliver decoque, Onyeka onwenu!
Discovered this song at club xhale in Houston! I want to thank the DJ personally for playing this masterpiece! I love the motherland and Afrobeat! Love to Nigeria!!
This song more than anything makes me so freakin proud to be an African. Being an African is the best in thing that ever happened to me. Period. 29 years in the United States and a bit more of travelling certainly opened my blind self to the beauty of my birth continent. My sincere and genuine gratitude goes to the African country of Nigeria. As a Ugandan I always perceived my Nigerian brothers and sisters as a people who went about their ways, whether in the diaspora or home with such rudimentary favor such that they never stopped to think things through. With time my perception was proven wrong once I came to realize it was more of a urgency filled with pride, independence and self rule and pride. The nature of which captured the true essence of a genuine African. It took Nigerians for me to appreciate my mother continent. Thank you Nigerians wherever you are, be in New York or a in a small cell in Kuala Lumpar awaiting your release. The rest of Africans never credit give where it is due until now. There was always a plan to to what seemed like sheer madness. Please accept the most respectful apologies from your Ugandan brother. Keep keeping on.
I am a Garifuna woman from Guatemala who loves Teni's music she's amazing would love to see her in concert yes I'll pay to see this talented sistha 👑👍I honor my African Ancestors ❤⚘
LINDA M.Lino Garifuna people don’t believe their African ancestors came from Africa. Many claim blacks were in St Vincent before other blacks came due to slavery. I have seen many garifunas tall down on Africans.
Am a Ugandan but i vote Nigeria for the best talented artists on the entire African continent and number 2 in the whole world, so pliz let me c all of u dat agree with me to certify this reality
This is a high vibration song, whenever i hear it, i can easily feel positive emotions within my whole body. I love Nigerians they are super talented in almost everything👊👍

TENI is Nigerian, of Yoruba ethnicity. The song is primarily in Nigerian Pidgin English. "Case" is an "Afrobeats" song, a genre pioneered primarily by Nigerian musical style and elements. [Intro] pem-pem ijelebe [3x] [Verse 1] I slap police for your case-o [I'd slap the police for your case] I go to war for your case-o [I'd go to war for your case] I go to court for your case-o [I'd go to court for your case] I climb(y) bridge for your case-o [I'd climb/scale a bridge for your case] Enter water for your case-o [Jump into water for your case] I punch(y) judge for your case-o [I'd punch the judge for your case] Anything you want baby, that's for you baby... [Above: "case" in pidgin is a metaphor for "business/situation", but here's its also used as an ironic pun, where TENI would risk a court case for her lover's "case". She would also "enter water", which could mean either that she would risk drowning or get in "hot water"] [Hook] For your case-oooooo ay le-le-le For your case-oooo oh-e-ow, no For your case-oooooo ay le-le-le For your case-oooo oh-e-ow, no 'Cause my papa no be Dangote, or Adeleke, but we go dey okay, aye-yay ['Cause my father is not Dangote or Adeleke but we will be okay] But my papa no be Dangote, or Adeleke, but we go dey okay, aye-yay [Above: TENI's father is not Aliko Dangote (Nigeria's richest man, and richest black person in the world valued at $11B USD) or Dr. Deji Adeleke (another wealthy Nigerian and father of Afrobeats megastar, Davido), but she and her crush will manage/make it. Incidentally, in real life TENI's own family is quite wealthy, but of course this is just a song:) ] [Verse 2] [2x] I go go Oshodi - for your case [I'll go to Oshodi for your case] i go slap agbero - for your case [I'll slap a (Oshodi) hoodlum/gangster for your case] I go call MC Oluomo [I'll call MC Oluomo] I go report all of them [I'll report all of them (the hoodlums)] [Above: Oshodi is a rough and tumble neighborhood in Lagos. It is also a major open-air market district. MC Oluomo is head of the patchwork unions that control the grey/blackmarket commerce in Oshodi. TENI is saying she'll call up MC and report the thuggish activities of his underlings, which is damn near suicide] So tell me what the hell are you waiting for? If na to chop Indomie, we go chop [If we have to eat Indomie -- we'll eat (do what we gotta do)] If na to soak(y) Garri, we go soak [If we have to "soak" Garri -- we'll soak (do what we gotta do)] What the hell are you wating for ooo? If na to fry Akara, we go fry [If we have to fry Akara -- we'll fry (do what we gotta do)] If na to soak Akamu, we go soak [If we have to "soak" Akamu -- we'll soak (do what we gotta do)] [Above: TENI is saying if they have to eat poor and live below their means, she's ready. So what is he waiting for? Indomie is a noodle brand popular in Nigeria. Garri (cassava grain), Akara (fried bean patty) and Akamu (breakfast pudding/cereal) are all staple, native foods. All are cheap "common man" foods. To "soak" foods means basically adding water/sugar/milk, a quick way to make them and the way a poor student would do it.] [Repeat Hook] [Repeat Verse 2] [Repeat Hook]
