UPDATE: A better, newer version of our tenkara knots video is available in our channel, or through this link: • Ep.3: Setting up and K... -------------------- All the basic knots used in tenkara fly-fishing
Thanks for this video! I wish I would have found this when I was just starting out. Great information! I have broken my tip when trying to tie the lillian knot. I'm careful now to either use the plug or my finger to hold the rod tip in before I start tying it.
my tenkara is missing the liilian cord. in it's place there is an eye at the end of the last set meant of the rod. can i just snip the eye off and work a lillian cord at the end, apply some epoxy and go fishing?
@Tenkara USA- I just bought a tenkara rod, I have never used one before. The furled leader IS my tapered leader, right? I do NOT tie on a tapered leader to the furled line, JUST tippet. Correct?
Buenas noches, soy de chile, y practico la pesca con la caña tenkara, mi consulta es si me puede ayudar con un nudo para unir la linea baking al cordon de la puntera de la caña tenkara.
Johnathan Stevens Jr. let’s see you pronounce Portuguese. He speaks at least 4 languages: Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese and English. I speak three languages: English, Hebrew and Danish. Nothing worse when people pick on my pronouncing of a word with Æ, Ø, Å, which we cannot make the sound unless you’re born here. Tudo bem.
As an absolute day 1 beginner, please redo this video. When you show knot tying, your fingers are in the way. As I see it, if you are going to "show" how to tie a knot, it is for those that don't know how. You don't demonstrate for those that already know. So no fingers in the way, zoom in so we can see if a loop is over or under, step by step. This is close up camera work with nothing blocking. Again, your not demonstrating for those that already know.
Also, as an absolute beginner, I think you may enjoy our complete video guide to tenkara that we just uploaded: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gYusbqvl2po.html This is a compilation of a 2-minute Video series we did a while ago. If you prefer to watch just individual 2-minute long videos you can go to this playlist. The knots are much more clearly shown here (we've learned a thing or two in the last 8 years): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bUsJiGusiZw.html
