I've heard shes actually a bit of a clean freak (like washes her hands until they are red) so this sounds like an assasination attempt (this is a joke, nobody is exorcizing Tenma... I hope)
Naturally, a good job now is where you get paid more than you spend on it and dont want to kill yourself every second, hell, she even has 3 hours of free time to prepare for another shift!
At least 37 people are/were allergic to taking a shower. Aquagenic urticaria is a condition where you get hives where water touched your skin. Not fun 😬.
Generally sodium lauryl sulfates is the most common but not the only allergen to avoid in shampoos and other personal hygiene products likewise. I also breakout in a rash from it and it's quite awful so I just use hypoallergenic soap but I really need to try to find something that is hypo-allergenic yet still smells good too sooner than later. 😔
Oh damn that's crazy. hope Tenma's okay. I am allergic to a certain compound in a medicine I used to take and it caused insane blemishes on my skin which remained for like 3 years.
Oof, luckily it wasn't serious. Allergies can be troublesome, to say the least. Still ouchies but ey, at least Tenma had a valid excuse to stay put ey 😅
And a typical Japanese office job too, with all the horrors that entails, from what I've heard. (Although I guess she works from home now, judging by the clip?)
Tenma mentioned it before; She works the office job because she likes it. I believe in the stream with the horse mask, she explained that she views Vtubing as a hobby/part-time.
I don't think she views it as a career. Vtubing is still new so there's no one who's been able to turn it into a long term job. Even if she's making insane moneyat it now(maybe) who knows what'll happen next week/month/year. She also has a separate bank account all money from vtubing goes to which she doesn't touch except to pay expenses from vtubing. She treats all money from it as extra money toward retirement/rainy day fund. Tenma actually treats it as like a responsible adult would.
Eeeesh! As someone that has happened to, I can sympathize. But like I do at myself, I'm laughing at this too! It suuuuuuucks! But I was able to do a pretty good Elephant Man impression before the benadryl knocked me out for a day!
Man, it's like the Phase Connect girls really are averse to being any sort of clean and presentable. Though in all seriousness, I've had reactions as well. I'm allergic to all Old Spice products so I had reactions to their cleaning products too. Shampoo, Body Wash, their deodorant. I'm fine with all the others in the stores, but Old Spice brand makes me red and get bumps.
Read the ingredients on the bottle, contact the company & let them know what happened. Your allergic reaction might happen to someone else & it could end up fatal. Arrange for a return & refund. It will be very important from now on you check product ingredients lists to avoid the thing which caused your reaction. Also cortisone cream could have helped if you're not also allergic to that. ☝
I don't think you should get a refund for that unless everyone is getting allergic reactions from it. Someone with allergic reactions should always check pretty much everything new unless they want to roll the unnecessary dice. Its a hassle for the allergic people but nothing can really be done about it
My sister genuinely has an allergy to water, let me explain. It's nothing too serious, it's just that her skin becomes irritated when exposed to water for extended periods of time. Showers and stuff aren't bad as long as it's quick. It's stuff like going to the pool for an hour or two and her skin starts to have an allergic reaction. Not a serious one, mostly just hives/rashes. Interesting stuff, especially when you consider the fact that water is technically an acid/base (I forgot which) which is why stuff like paper dissolve in water.
