Tennessee Moonshine Taste Test 

What a real moonshine taste test looks like: you're sitting in a lawn chair on the top of a mountain somewhere in the Appalachians, off of a road that probably doesn't have a name. A relatively large man wearing overalls hands you a half full mason jar of a mysterious clear liquid that he retrieved from his 4 wheel drive van (yes, really) and says "Here, try some". You take a sip and the alcohol is so pure, you can literally feel some evaporating in your mouth. You swallow, expecting it to burn, but feel nothing but a smooth, warming sensation as it hits your stomach. 5 minutes later, it feels as if you have been drinking hard for an hour. Or so I've heard.

'Where has this been my whole life??.' 'In Hell.' Love it. I'm from Sevier County (Gatlinburg) where Ole Smoky and Sugarlands started. You guys couldn't even imagine what the real stuff tastes like. One sniff and it'll burn your nose hairs. Lol!

Real shine doesn't burn, these are just legally manufactured imitations that is basically corn syrup and grain liquor in a jar.

As a Tennesseean all I could think when y'all got to Ol' smokey original was "Ooooh that's gonna burn!". This gave me a good laugh!

Yeah, they got really goofy on the weak stuff. I love it. Imagine if they had some Popcorn Sutton original mountain shine. I gave my friend from Boston a couple cherries that had soaked in real shine for 2 years. 20 minutes later he was barely standing.

This is not moonshine. It is vodka in a mason jar. The JD is the closest but still isn't.

i know this isn't about moonshine but this kid snick some Bacardi rum into our middle school in a tee bottle and it had the weirdest smell ever and the only alcohol i have had is some fireball. im am 13 i had a sip of fireball. but a teacher walked up to our lunch table and he couldn't even smell it
