I pray/wish an organization would step in, discover who his creditors are and accept donations to pay his bills.

Steve Hartman is an American treasure, right up there with Paul Harvey.

I hope someone saw this story that could help this amazing man! Pay off some of the medical bills or something and do it directly bc he would use any money towards others in need.

This is the first On the Road story that I haven't found uplifting and that I won't watch more than once. A man who doesn't pay his bills--ESPECIALLY his wife's medical bills---so that he can buy things to help others? Sorry, but that's NOT my idea of a hero. Neglecting your spouse when she's that ill qualifies as a form of abuse in my book. And do these people know his story? Do they know that his wife is very ill, but money that could be used to help her goes to them? I'd never accept money undert those circumstances. Steve, you guys goofed up on this one.

Are you an idiot? The charity was to help CHILDREN in need. Year Round SANTA.... not Year Round Sick Spouses. Children was the mission, and that is what people donated for. If he diverted funding to his own family, regardless of illness or need, he would be a criminal like so many of the other so-called charities where 90% of the money goes to salary and fees or other Bogus crap like the Clinton Foundation did, but he never took a dime. And while you are talking out your stupid ass about people & things you know nothing about..., just know that all the money in the world couldn't have saved her....

How could he make that kind of money as a truck driver? I mean It's amazing that he did that for so many children, but he should have considered saving money for himself and his wife. He really won't accept any money people give him, even for his wife?

Surviving starts with the top button of your shirt. Good hearted but he wont be helping anyone soon and it would have been better to ease up.
