Being a little freshman at Stratford in 2015 and getting to visit their band camp to watch marching bands do what they do for the first time was magical! Feeling how LOUD a band can really get is definitely a core memory of mine, will always be a TSU fan 💙
I’ll never forget being a freshman at the Atlanta Classic and watching this old head getting lit in the stands to The Mix. Now, I’m the old head ready for homecoming. 😂💯 c/o 2011
as a former Westwood High School Marching Band (Memphis, Tn) member, it warms my heart to heart one of our old mixes being played by these youngsters. then I see Michael Cowans pop up and it explains evrything...
Green Hornet I agree with you but, I’ll give him some credit back in the day (95, 96, maybe even 97) West Wood was legit. They had damn near college size, and they sounded great (but I heard that they had old head playing with them some of the times) but still respect to the old wood, 2018.... not so much
Bands have come a long way i see since my years at AAMU in the 90's. My sister told me they were gonna give me a hard time since I was the only guy playing a flute, but they didn't. Nice to see a good number of guys representing with the flutes AND clarinets. 👊
“THE SHOW..!!!” Awwww shucks...! Football season is here...! Cant wait to to hear the 2019 AOB...! Get ready, get ready, get ready...! Best sequence/hypesong/fightsong/ of all HBCUs..!
I attended a white elementary and magnet Jr High and my first black high.During the summer time we had band practice.I opened the door and saw 3 big huge black football players I turned around and was headed back out the door. One of them called.I was about to faint. They asked want I was looking for I said the band room. One put his arms around me I thought I was about to die.I took me to the bandroom. We open the room door it was 110 band members.and still till this days we are all friends.Go Worthing Colts c/o #91
+HairTimeWithAaliyah ! Hypnotize by B.I.G., Say La La by Pieces of Dream, and The Show by Doug E Fresh, respectively. You know the third one, by any chance?
Anshan Hall first, Tnsu is not in the swac. Second, Famu is not a role model for them or any of the swac. Tnsu has probably been playing say la la before them and they both have there own style. Your bias to Famu so of course your gonna think their version is better
@Sonnie E. I’m not understanding your logic. If a school has a signature song, that means no one else has or never should play the same song? I’m also from Nashville too and I didn’t know famu played this until years after a heard this from Tnsu. A lot of people attach this song to this school too
