I'm not even from the US but from the Ruhr Area, Germany and the only difference between us is that you're living in a rural place instead of an dying once so called "Megacity"(Metropole Ruhr) which obviously didn't work out, but I really feel the lifestyle. God bless you and your people, maybe one day somewhere when I've got money to do such trips we'll see us in Appalachia. You have a much bigger area but a very similar nature and practically the same attitude when it comes to culture.
