I went to this game in Knoxville TN while stationed at Fort Campbell. Had to represent the Sooner Nation. What an atmosphere. The Volunteers of Tennessee were amazing hosts. Best game I've ever been to.
One thing about us vols we are just happy when we are good lol we treat other team they ain't FL UGA or Bama with respect knowing how much it sucks to be losing haha
@@dustingill4202We can't wait to host you in Norman this season! Awesome that y'all are our first SEC opponent in conference play. We've got the built in storyline. Going to be a GREAT GAME!
Cornelius Dansby Jr I’m a lifelong Sooner with season tickets on first row in north end zone. Sadly, my daughter and son-in-law and wife are all OSU Cowboys. LOL
That's how it goes. I'm an OU fan and the last few days I was just scrolling through the Espn networks and caught our 2004 NC implosion, then they were showing last year's Rose Bowl. There's a lot of ghosts.
This is a great highlight video, thank you. I am a Sooner, but I love seeing the adversity of both sides. This was an epic comeback by OU. Thanks for showing both ends of it.
Tennessee vs Oklahoma hell of a game felt more like a bowl game with the atmosphere to the max if you're asking me I never thought to think how good this Tennessee team was I definitely underestimated the Vols but yeah my Sooners gets the win in a close finish classic.
It’s truly crazy how much this one game cemented where both teams are today. Baker goes into win a Heisman, and Oklahoma continue every year to be a top program. While Tennessee after this has basically all but fallen apart. Who knows how things would have gone if Tennessee won this game.
Wow! I'd forgotten what a nail-biter this one was. I'm an OU fan but we were very fortunate to get out of there with the W. If the ref had not called that PI in the endzone that would've been the ole ballgame. To be honest if i were a Vol fan i would be screaming the ball was uncatchable, and it really was. But the defender never even tried to make a play on the ball and just plowed into the reciever and basically left the official no choice but to throw the flag. Then OU made some plays to win the game but no call there and the game is over, Vols win. Very fortunate.
I'm a Tennessee fan and can honestly say for the first time in a long time that Tennessee had more talent on the field than Oklahoma, but people are gonna be in trouble with Oklahoma because that wasn't a fluke they got there asses BEAT for 3 quarters and came back with nothing but heart and grit and teams with that don't know how to lose. Oklahoma has a lot to look forward to. But I will say Once Tennessee learns to finish its gonna be ugly. If we can squeak past Alabama (prolly won't happen) we might not lose another game this year! Anyway good win Sooners and good luck hopefully we'll meet again this winter!!!!
+indianaboy52 Speaking as an OU fan, I just want to thank you for your comment. I have much respect for the Tennessee fans. Always displays good sportsmanship and very classy as well.
William Hazelwood So, and what's your point? I've been to both games between OU and Tennessee. When Tennessee played at OU many of their fans were appreciative of how we treated them. Then this year they were gracious towards us. I will take Tennessee fans over Texas, West Virginia and OSU fans any day.
As a lifelong OU fan I really just have to say to the Tennessee fan base, Neyland Stadium, the orange and white sections, the Rabid fans make for an amazing jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring atmosphere.
Watching this live i didn’t realize how bad it was but damn did anyone notice in OT when Shepard caught the ball and the two defenders went head to head? It looked terrible
I'm a lifetime Bama fan, but we in the SEC need to realize we can be beat, we are not always the best, OU beat us in 2014 45 to 31, we had Amari Cooper and Derrick Henry on our team that year, two of the greatest Bama players, Henry won the Heisman, but they were better than us that night, no excuses, in reality, they lead the series, they have beat us 3 times and we have beat them one time and tied with them one time we have only played 5 times...Now with Clemson we lead the series 14 to 4 I think,,, crap happens,,,I sure as hell hope we win this year, or OU is gonna think they own Bama... and no one can own Bama...come on Bama... get well Tua, stay well Jalen...RTR...
Jo McCutcheon I’m a die hard vols fan from Alabama, Mobtown to be exact. You can probably understand how many times I’ve been questioned for being a vols fan ☹️😂 it’s always the bandwagon fans that swear Bama is unbeatable and talk shit about every team BESIDES BAMA. Everyone from Alabama knows why people from Alabama love college football so much, it’s because in Alabama there’s nothing else to do on the weekends, we have no professional sports team, we have no theme parks, we have the local movies and bowling alleys and bon fires. People don’t understand how much college football means to people in the south especially in Alabama. It’s a culture, it’s what we were born to watch. Much respect to you and I hope Jermey Pruitt can get us back to being competitive with Saban 💯 GBO until the day I die 🍊 and rocky top forever 🧡 and I’m forever bleeding orange
Why does hardly any other power 5 school schedule OOC games with teams like Oklahoma does? Granted Alabama Texas was a couple weeks ago but hardly anyone does as often as OU and they’re usually with schools with historic programs
Baker!!!!! Excited to see what he can do (1 win so far) in the NFL. Once in a lifetime player - without all of the baggage the media tried to put on him. And that was NOT an upset - again sec media bias crap! BOOMER
And they really think the big 12 don't play against good defense. The SEC only plays good defense? Tjats why Baker and Kyler have higher stats? Dumbest theory I have ever heard ever.
I did watch this game on TV but watching the replay here just reminds me of how terrible our sooner defense was back then. Can't really watch much more of That terrible! D. Ladder Mike stoops and Alex Grinch days really sucked. Just telling it like it is. I'm a proudful Sooner fan since the early '70s and can't wait for these next two years with our games against the Vols. Should be great games and even if we don't win both I know I won't have to look at that puke defense.
@@quintaviousrea1754 btwn the Florida game and Georgia games that u mentioned we beat Alabama, Tennessee twice, auburn, and put up 45 on Georgia and barely lost in ot...sooooooo
@@kennethhopson4649 how many of those games mattered though? You beat an iffy Tennessee team twice during season I'll give you credit definitely for the alabama win that was a stacked team and ig for the auburn game as well but only way you a daddy is if you owning the games that matter; championship and playoffs, and if yall lose this game, yall can't claim daddies to nobody. Haha but I hope for a good game though regardless of who thinks they're the sec daddies. Roll tide friend
@@kennethhopson4649 and also, you say put up 45 on Georgia but yall scored 14 points in the second half and Ot combined, only reason yall went to over time is because yall had a nice enough lead, off of a horrible first half Georgia perfomance
+dantheman1984 LMAO!! So is that the method the weenies in Tennessee use to rank teams?? Instead of taking a L on the chin and movin on, y'all go and tryna connect dots so y'all can find solace in the fact that Oklahoma has whipped y'all two years in a row!! 😭😂
yup sure Man I really hope we meet you fools in the playoffs this year. Too bad you'll most likely be looking from the outside in while we take it all the way to Tampa this year.
+dantheman1984 Lolz. OU already sent your record setting crowd back home with a L in their pockets, now you want them to eliminate you from the playoffs too?? Sheesh. Before you go worrying bout Oklahoma, you need to focus on tryna beat Bama for crying out loud.. Something OU has done the last couple of times they met 🐸☕
BigVOLdaddy: I agree. It was a good comeback but I think OU had a much better one since you made this comment. I think it gets over-hyped because they weren't scoring all that time and finally came alive at the end, but they were only down 14 which isn't much in today's game.
I think it was a bad game and that the hogs could've won by 21 points easily. They had a punt return and a touchdown called back. They had 6 holding penalties, which is uncharacteristic of a Bret Beleima team. I think that the hogs are missing a star defensive linemen that can rush the passer. They are also missing an offensive line that works hard in the run game, because so far we can't run well between the tackles. However, if the players have a good attitude and learn from the Toledo game, a great season is still possible. It all hinges on how hard they want to work for it.
