Nalbandian had the greatest 2 handed backhand I’ve ever seen and maybe the greatest returner of serve along with Agassi Shocking he never won slams Sooo much talent!
No. Both Nalbandian and Hewitt are killing the ball here. Sure there's topspin hitting, which slows the ball down. Players todays can hit harder and flatter on occasion, but they miss more too. What's your point? IMO these guys were ripping the hide off the ball.
I dont feel this match like a "very old" match, but its crazy to think that Alcaraz was 7 yrs old and Sinner 9, when this was played. It doesnt seem THAT long ago.
One of the very few players that Federer did not like playing. David nalbandian. Federer had an 11 to 8 h2h against him. But federer had always had an annoying hard time against nalbandian for some reason.
Increible David y Lleyton, gran partido!.
I'll always feel like this game kinda ruined what could've been a deep Nalbandian push in Australia 2011. He retired exhausted against Berankis in the next round, but could've been a nightmare for Ferrer on hardcourt on third round, and then he's just one 21-year-old Milos Raonic away from quarters against Rafa, who completely folded against Ferrer.
