This is far too much stuff for a high schooler and recreational player.. show just 4 at a time better for everyone... just take. I have 85 players. Utr 7.5 to 9.0 90% agree. Perhaps 9 mos. + I actually most. After all, tennis is situational.
I Agree, its a lot of information, We have 400 students, most of them are beginner to intermediate kids.. we only teach a few of the main footwork in our group lessons and skip the harder ones. As a coach, It is helpful to know them all though, if you are doing privates with advanced students like you say, What I would do is link a tactical situation to the footwork, eg front foot hop links to attacking a short ball down the line.. lateral hop is good for angles, forward transfer good for return...so that way you can make heaps of lesson plans that link the footwork to a real tactical situation. Anyways check out the pro player clips of each footwork, its nicer than watching me demo it :) Have a great day.
Thanks Joe , the dots are called spot markers. Ill give you a link to amazon. look for ones that are soft rubber and non-slip. the cheaper plastic ones have no grip and move around. www.amazon.com/s?k=spot+markeRS&crid=8BGANZ3D104C&sprefix=spot+markers%2Caps%2C281&ref=nb_sb_noss , I get mine from Polytec sports. they have a good grip. polytecsports.com/product/drop-down-targets/
Thanks for the summary and variation of Dave's Contact Moves. I want to thank you for attached footwork map PDF is great. However if you can update existing map with a line next to hitting point that shows Body Stance (closed, semi-open, open) and possibly another sign that shows target for a particular contact move or a line that shows the direction of the ball.
