@@Bethman-c3p Yep, prestigious, also called the 5th Grand Slam. It's the year-end culmination of every ATP tournament before that and no nobodies can participate but only the 8 best players in the world. And what's that argument ? You're judging the prestige of a tournament by who won it ?

This one was tough with so many winners, but they should have been penalized for throwing out names of players that didn't win - knowing Nadal hasn't won this event should be worth something! Glad they all got Kuerten - he is most known for clay of course but when he won he beat Sampras and Agassi back to back on carpet to become the first South American to reach #1. Might be his most impressive win since carpet had to be the surface least suited to his game.

There are only 25 total winners because Roger Federer won it 6 times & Djokovic won it 5 times! A. Zverev has 2 of those trophies! A.Murray, Dimitrov, Tsitsipas & Medvedev have all won one each so far! The most ATP points are awarded at this tournament, second only to the Majors! The Nitto ATP Finals/ Year End Championships/ World Tour Finals were known as the 5th Slam!

Rafa should’ve won it in 2020 😭 still can’t forgive him for giving up that 6-3 5-4 lead over Medvedev. I think he has a mental block there now, and Djokovic has a mental block at the Olympics. Both of them kinda choked their last match, with Djokovic being up 6-1 3-1 over Zverev I believe. Hope Rafa plays this year

Yeah after that match, i told myself Rafa doesn't deserve this anymore. Anyways this year is his best chance with today's competition. He has to play the matches of his life there. If he can't win this year, he doesn't deserve it anymore.

@@luilo7848 No Zverev and Thiem and having Ruud in the mix certainly up Nadals chances. However, Rafa has to hope Meddy knocks out Djokovic, as the Spaniard has very little chance against the Serb there.
