I am not an opera expert… but your voice and performance touched my heart along with the enchanting accompanying piano. I ended up listening to this piece from many other singers and yours is up there along with Nicolai Gedda’s. I am looking forward to hearing more of your singing. You are a new star in the opera sky.
If you are not a perfect artist, how will you get this ability to sing this in full voice but piano? Falsetto is bullshit. It is the easy - unartistic way. So, to learn to sing it full voice but piano you must find out the best place, and you can do this only by singing it loud, as long as you did not find the place exactly. That is, what you have heard here. But of course it is better than to "trick" with falsetto which people, having no idea about singing seems to be something good, but it is faking tenderness.
I'm French and I don't think his French is terrible, although is has a light accent. Americans usually have a much worse accent. I only was disappointed by his way of uttering the last high note : charMANT souvenir...
Hmm ok didnt now it was practice!! This aria is diffucult for à lyric tenor but not impossible if you sing mezza voce for the High notes and again read the notes how MR Bizet wrote this aria ink the music!!! If you Will i show how to doit in à video for you and no falsetto for sure!
목소리는 나무랄데 없이 좋은데 호흡이 짧은듯...그로인해 매끄럽지 않고 또한 강약조절이 잘 안되는것 같네요. 아마도 너무 육중하다보니 그런건지...감정 전달에 문제도 있는것 같고. 오페라 테너 아리아중 가장 좋아하는 아리아라 수천번 들어왔기에 다른 아리아보다 더 민감하게 듣고 미세한것에도 까다로워서...
I totally agree with you. I have been listening other tenors singing this particular aria and realised that this is one of the most difficult arias to sing properly. He is not yet good enough to sing this aria. It seems like he doesn't understand the character in the aria.
