Here's what I learn playing Tenpai for a while now. If your local scene is not running 3 niburu and If you are going first and have the field spell card, you should always try to make sangenpai bident dragon first. Your first turn should be red + green or red + white tenpai dragons make bident dragon first before seals. Bident reborn a single tenpai dragon and then make seals. I usually make seals by itself without any other monsters because super poly is very popular here. With bident in grave, you have a extra layer of protection in grave to make sure you don't die because if your opponent makes 3 attack, you can revive bident dragon , bident then revives a tenpai, Ideally green because green revives another tenapi. Also as long as greens alive tenpai don't get destroy by battle and as long as white is alive you don't take battle dmg. You get insane protection. If your opponent ash your seals you can be in a lot of trouble so make sure a bident is in grave for protection.
It's absolutely worth noting that while Paidra can't be ash'd in damage step, Fadra can be *Belle'd* in damage step because Ghost Belle negates an activation
Blaster and gold sarc feel so awkward. It plays into droll. And it takes up 2 slots that when you don’t need to. And it’s a slight brick. I personally like to play masked dragon instead.
I like the idea of having so many level 7s to synchro with, but those level 7s need to be tuner. He forgets that just because something is low level doesn’t mean that it’s a tuner The level 7 is a tuner for Pete’s sake, and he thinks he can make the lvl 10 Tenpai (Sangen in name) with fenrir. YGO players don’t read. I’m sorry bro but you need to read the cards before you play em
i had an ulti back in the day but sold all my stuff multiple times. Luckily i made a bunch of edison decks a few years ago and i bought the secret for like $3 lol
I just picked up tenpai today with all the fixings except Trident. Your latest video in correlation to the new support brought me here. I will say; your content in redsrds to rulings have helped me tons especially from sharks trying to tell me certain things resolve thinking I'm wet behind the ears. Great stuff. Keep it up. You're a part of my growth as a duelist and tvg enthusiast. 🎉❤
Quick question about the quick syncro effect. It says once per turn but if its ss back to the field does that mean i can use it again. Since technically its treated as a different card?
i did play this deck it was really fun to play this deck, i took this deck to local tournament, i won in 4th place. i don't have Trident Dragion in my Tenpai Dragon Deck, i played Bystial Dis Pater as a Replacement i really want to play Trident Dragion card so badly! i want to take this deck to Tournaments in the Future, So Thank You for making this deck Dude!
People saying gold sarc blaster is bad cause play into droll, man who cares about droll. The deck already play into droll with prosperity, and only need one search to kill most of time, this deck have a lot of cards to worry and droll is not one of them. Every fuckin people say "it's loses to droll" and never does, Droll is bad forgot, every fuckin format droll and evenly is in everyone deck, then does absolutely nothing and people take off completely... Yugioh players... Even if droll became a issue what is not, you have shifter already, can play called by, crossout, some many one card plays...
Haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh in years but i watch a video every now and then to see whats up. Went through my old collection and found three trident dragion. Debating on selling them and stay out of the game or actually getting back in and play tenpai since i have them...
Quick question, when you declare an attack and you use the effect to synchro summon does the battle still happen or do you have to synchro summon immediately?
You can activate the effect to synchro after the battle though, so attack with as many of the little dragons as possible before the synchro to maximize damage.
Me stuck only hitting 24K without Trident. Feels bad my friend couldn't let me borrow one. Edit: Writing this cause i think Trident will be reprinted in Terminal Revenge
Brings a tear to my eye that Melodious are not only relevant but a seriously strong match up against something meta like Tenpai Dragon simply by design (Bloom Diva, Aria + Elegy lock in conjunction with newer cards like Etoile with quick effect non targeting removal and other non engine and tech that can be crammed in). 7-4 against Tenpai Dragon during playtesting and it’s so surreal that a deck showcased on this channel is vulnerable against one of my favorite decks of all time that has deemed $hit until recently. 😂💪
None of the small dragon quick synchro effects are hard once per turns, so if you need to, chundra and paidra themselves can climb to a 10 if chundra has been negated, since paidra can quick sync to the 7, then get revived and quick sync to the 10.
playing dinomorphia at my coming regional next weekend, was wondering if Dinomorphia Rexterm still shuts down the Tenpai dragons if the field spell is up? because rexterm effects the player it should still work????
After watching the pulls today. There were people that couldn’t pull the paidra. There were people who got 2 paidra in 1 box. It’s actually rng. Same can be said for any other super rare. When they changed the rarity ratios, 1 box would never give you every single super anymore and it closer to getting 1 super per box. Which means u were unlucky, it all depends on which card you focused on
Most of the searching occurs during damage step which blocks you out of ashing it anyway, but crossout is good anyway because you have enough non engine space
The deck is pretty good but I feel like voiceless is a really tough match up for Tenpai Dragon. Especially with the new support that they have now. If they set up correctly you're not breaking their board.
After 3 hour session vs voiceless, I went 6-0 in matches yesterday night. We broke their board. Droplet and lightning storms paired with well timed Druidwurms. Being able to pot for 6 to dig the out, ghost ogre on the continuous makes life reallly really smooth. I tried to shifter them, that failed but shifter + black rose was an instant reset
@@MSTTVthanks for the reply. I must know some really good voiceless players lol. But serious question could you maybe post a video on how to counter the deck for the mirror match. I’m playing the deck now and besides well timed hand traps preventing my opponent from special summoning another dragon are there any other cards you would recommend?
@@lord7635 the most tricky part is the Ritual Sauravis. If you can cheat it out by summoning synchros as CL2+ then the match is free. But it's hard to get to that point unless you open boardwipes
How would you respond to your typical set up being Red and Yellow (I forget the names). Attack with red to get green, etc but you get hit with a damage step droplets hitting both? Is that enough to end your turn?
@@Lotusmustdie the way I saw it was you could either send a monster among whatever else you need with droplet, or you could specifically wait til damage step if you don’t have a monster so that they couldn’t quick synchro anymore. That’s all 🤷♂️
Often times, it’s usually an effect that you declare to use, like a summon effect, a negate, a handtrap, or a destruction (pop). Sangen Summoning helps to protect Fire Dragons from those, but it wouldn’t protect them from continuous effects, like Destiny HERO Plasma, Skill Drain, and Lost World.
Hey i was wondering about what you said. it sounded like you meant that the card added from Paidra during the damage step cannot be ashed. But can you even activate the quickplay you add during damage step? Sorry i just wanted to clarify cause i know that there's only a few specific things you can activate during damage step. Love your content keep it up!
You aren't activating it in damage step, it's being activated in the battle phase which is perfectly legal. Spell speed 2 and 3 can be activated in the battle phase. I believe it's damage calc that only the effect to increase or decrease atk/def can be activated. Hope this clarifies it. I honestly didn't quite understand the question lol
@@BloodsCaress Thanks for replying. I knew these already the reason I asked is because the wording in the video sounded like the quickplay cannot be ashed for some reason.
@@BloodsCaress Chundra activates in damage step, so can't be Ashed. If the summon is Paidra, then Paidra also can't be Ashed. The quickplay since it doesn't alter stats nor negates activations (and obviously isn't a counter trap) cannot be activated in damage step, so the battled that triggered Chundra originally has to end, then during your next battle step you can activate it. ----------------------------------------------------- Technically, you can activate any card effect that directly alters stats until the "before damage calculation", such as a Droplet (but not something like Guardian of the Golden Land that isn't guaranteed it will affect stats). In addition, you can activate a card or effect that negates the "activation" (like Belle, but not Ash). Finally counter traps activate at any time. After we leave that part of the damage step (frequently called the "start of the damage step") we enter "Damage Calculation". There you can't activate cards that alter stats like Droplet and only ones specifically telling they can activate at this time like Avramax. "Activation" negations + counter traps work normally.
@@panagiotisk3394 i believe Tombox meant the adding of the quickplay can't be Ashed, and a typical play can allow you to make the new synchro 10 so the opponent can't activate anything, then use the quickplay to drop Trident Dragion and safely OTK
@@babrad thank u very much, i am aware of the damage step rulings i just pointed it out due to the way it was worded in the video. People that are not familiar with damage step rulings might have taken it the wrong way. It's good that you mentioned it anyway though cause it is very useful information
