My best investment was a Towa digital bobbin tension gauge. I was surprised on the difference in tension from different pre wound bobbin manufacturers. Now that you have ran the I test, make adjustments on the upper tension until you get equal thirds, while leaving your bobbin tension alone. As I recall, your yellow didn’t show any bobbin thread, which means you need to add upper tension until you see the bobbin thread open up to 1/3. I keep a scrap shirt hooped up next to my machines so I can run a quick “I” test (I keep a single “I” test in my machines memory) prior to starting a job. Keep up the hard work.

Bobbin didn't change, tension on needle is different, or thread weight is different. Once you get the bobbin right (yours looks good), only adjust the thread tension.

Nice job, so glad your machine made it through the move (mostly) unscathed! I just have a little Tajima SAI, dialing in tension can be tedious but absolutely necessary! I keep a tension test saved on my machine and run it before running jobs just to “warm up” the machine. Thank you for sharing!

All you have to do is keep that tail short one you put it there so you don’t have those long tails on the design.

Honestly, you should always set your bobbin tension with a meter before doing this test, otherwise it’s useless. It looked like most of your needles were off adjustment. Then again, if your machine is running fine and the product comes out great, who cares.

@@brittanybriggs3806 Pretty sure they mean that the tension is incorrect. I would agree with this. Most of the threads look a little loose on top too. You can set your bobbin tension doing the drop test (look it up as it's hard to describe without visuals) with a full bobbin, not a partial one. Once the bobbin tension is dialed in, you can set the top tension. All but two or three of your needles have the tension set too loose.
