Thanks very much for the video. It showed how the tent should be erected without putting too much stress or breaking the poles. We bought one of these too and tried to pitch it for the first time last month. We thought we were following instructions but just could not get the poles inserted into the pins. It was taking ages and we were getting nowhere. Luckily, the guy next door had had one before and showed us that the poles had to be inserted “lying down” just like in this video and then standing it up again as in the video and then “walking” the “concertina” and stretching it out from back to front. This is far and away the best video for showing how to pitch an Icarus and similar tents. Much much better than anything produced either by the manufacturer or any of the suppliers. Thanks very much again and “happy camping”
Oh amazing, thank you for the comment. To be honest we only found out that this was the best way, After MANY attempts, brilliant tent, Hope you have many happy memories. 😊
Great video, we just bought this tent and had trial setup in the neighbours garden ( our is too small 😅) we didn't attach the pegs in the bottom of poles while they were flat, and it was hard, so were going to try it your way , sure it will be a lot easier, many thanks
Thanks for sharing your video , we’ve just bought this tent , had a go putting it up in the garden without success ,after watching your video I attempted it again got it up plus awning within half an our . 👍😊Happy camping ⛺️
Great video! I have this tent to. Could i give a little tip though? Open up the front zipper, it will be so much easier to raise the tent....granted it may take off in high winds...but doing this i can pitch the tent on my own. Enjoy! I love my Icarus 500 🌞
I bought one of these and thought was a nightmare to put up. One of the poles snapped and also part of the tent that connects to the groundsheet ripped.
To be honest this was the first time pitching this tent, we really struggled with the poles. I have been given some tips so let's hope it gets easier. Love camping so will make it work
