Inspired by the vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Himalayan Elders Project is a community initiative providing time and space for our seniors in New York to gather, practice dharma, socialize, share life experiences, cherish community connectedness and enjoy a renewed sense of independence.
The mission of the Himalayan Elders project is to enrich and empower our seniors. We believe each and every senior is a living treasure and a careful custodian of an utterly distinct culture.
The project has been successful because of the love and support that people like you. We will continue to expand our program, introduce new activities to accommodate and benefit many more seniors. Your support to the project, in whichever way you can, will help us reinforce the mission to treat our seniors as cherished jewels and provide them with as much care, love and joy that they deserve.
