I play on the NA server, and frankly, I feel both my skill as an Amani slayer and my build in general is lacking. May I know the effects your armor and accessory have? I have 3 power-based accessories (Earrings and necklace) and 2 crit-based rings. I think I might've made a terrible mistake in trying to balance power and crit. Should I have favored crit? I also wish to ask you if you have any general tips in pvp. Granted, I've gotten really bad at playing slayer since I'm back from a hiatus, but now I struggle to beat a Warrior with a Tensus weapon, and I have 3-piece frostmetal. I can barely even touch a decent long-ranged class, and I have no clue how to approach any decent pvper 1v1. They expose me through duels as THE example of a bad slayer, even though this is the class I only like. I. Need. Help.
I have no PvP gear since i am only doing equalized battlegrounds. But weapon/armor/accessories stats that were used in the past should be used nowadays too. Armor: Overhand Strike, All reduce damage stats, HP stat Weapon: Damage, Damage from behind, Crit damage & Attack speed or Cooldown Accessories: HP stats, Stun reduce, Crit resist I think you just need to do some equalized battlegrounds and train there. You will learn how to approach all the other classes.
Thanks for replying. In the NA server, just about all equalized battlegrounds are dead except Fraywind, and if you don't have above 448 in gear, you'll be kicked. Also, thanks for sharing your build, but for base stats, are your accessories all crit? Is it okay to have accessories that increase power? It's not like I can change my accessories at this point, but I'd like to know.
Ha Ppy I think you need to understand how the class work. With each different attack you do is very important. What you hit and what you use depends on it. Try using a combo like for example first combo attack - stunning back hand - first combo attack - startling kick - heart thrust - overhand strike - eviscerate - overhand strike (again if you have the 50% chance reset) - measure slice. I think you just have to mess around with the moves set and come up with combos that locks your opponent in and try to do as much stunning and knock downs as possible cuz for slayers it is key to keep putting pressure on your target and not let them escape. I hope this helps a little lol
The only people crying about pvp being dead are the players who would sit outside of starter town and kill new players trying to leave and do quests. Now that they can't spam kill players 50 lvls lower than them and have to fight equally geared players pvp might as well be dead to them. People will send you random duel requests all the time now which you can either accept and have some nice pvp action or if you really want to finish your quest just deny it. If you want the open world pvp that use to be a new players nightmare then you'll sadly have to wait till 65, but as of now pvp is still going on. I haven't even made it to level 40 yet and I fought so many players already just from duels alone (and yes before accepting or sending a duel request I like to inspect them to make sure its not a lvl 65 in 20 armor which happens).
but on a normal day? I played on the server NA and I tell you that at the beginning of the year I could not find it in days without an event, so I ask how is it in the US

Slayer is not really weak. You just need to understand and adopt your gameplay to all the various scenarios, this counts for all the other classes too.
The thing that seems hard with slayers nowadays is that it's a class that requires thinking and adaptation. You really have to understand the class and its mechanics in order to be powerful, and if you keep spamming your spacebar mindlessly, you just can't play slayer. I've heard people tell me it's a really slow class, and when I saw them play, they didn't have any chains at all. the just pressed buttons and thought that would work. To be a slayer, you have to learn how to play the hard way, but it's rewarding and really fun in the end. Some of the best DPS in my server are actually slayers.
