People don't yet appreciate how great of a boxing genius this dude is. When his story is finally told, how he thinks and adjusts on his feet, how cerebral he is, he will get his flowers.
Lol if you’d made this comment before the Errol Spence fight, then it would be accurate. You waited until after… everyone in the entire world knows now.
I was in discussion with a pal who used to Box about Terrence and I cam up to the conclusion that we could really be seeing one of the all time greats here, yes up there with the Ray's Tommy Roberto etc.
@@Pimpin-rm1juthing about canelo, is he fucks any real threat to him... Canelo is good. Not denying that, but he ducks anyone that has a chance to beat him is what it is
I understand its hard for Bud to get super excited after the win, because the journey has been arduous. Navigating the business, let alone opponents. He is so humble, he doesn't let his emotions get the better of him. I wouldn't be surprised if he shed a few tears once he was on his own after conquering this dream. Well done Bud. You are a true gentleman & role model. A model champion.
I agree with you. Not only could he not get any of the big names but he was disrespected for many years by fighters that wouldn’t fight him but casual fans were blaming him for not fighting the big names. It was depressing to see that for him and I knew the moment Spence finally gave him the fight, he would shut everyone up!
Crawford is nothing special Way too slow to have any chance of worrying Pacquiao Crawford is slower than Gamboa, too bad Gamboa wasn't a 12 round fighter & was on a long hiatus & also moved up 2 weight classes! 🤣 😆 🙄 🤦♂
He's so humble. I believe that he WILL be the first EVER, THREE-WEIGHT DIVISION, Undisputed champion in the history of combat sports. An incredible feat by an incredible man.
Henry Armstrong didnt just hold three undisputed titles at three different weights...but he held them at the same time. Although most people these days only count undisputed titles if they are in the four belt era, so...
Henry Armstrong was undisputed featherweight lightweight and welterweight champion simultaneously he also fought the middleweight champion to a draw. The order he won featherweight moved up beat welterweight moved down to lightweight then went back down to featherweight to defend that title. Featherweight is 126lbs lightweight is 135lbs and welterweight is 147lbs what he did is inconceivable by today's politics in boxing
Boxing is big part marketing. Thurman and Broner is just a bigger draw bec of their antics. Pacquiao would have gotten with him if he was hyping it like Thurman.
His counter punches were landing before Spence's initial punch!! Great fight and by far the Champ & PFP best in the business and possibly one of the best ever.
So true. His timing and instincts are incredible. If you slow his counter jab down on video, you see that it leaves after Spence’s jab, yet arrives at its destination quicker.
You all are idiots Crawford fought a shell of a man there's no way to tell who would've won at their best. Spence even said "I am not the same man" after the crash boxing once your body is in shape is 70% mental if you were true boxing fans it be elementary if I was Crawford I'd be pissed at myself for having to face a champion after his best days were behind him, I wouldn't feel tested it wouldn't be both our 100%'s to truly see who is stronger. A wins a win though on paper 😅
Terence Bud Crawford is 40-0 with 31 knockouts, a 2x Undisputed Champion, an all time great, a 9x champion, a 3x lineal champion in 3 different weight divisions and the pound for pound king 👑 of boxing 🥊💪 for the last 6 years🎤
@@NoBoxingNoLife-qh2gv Cap on going to the fight lol u must be poor or broke!! It's a fight lol who caps about that lmao 🤣 😂 u need to pick better people to hang around 🤣 😂 😅
Yall Spence fans was real disrespectful! I ain’t never seen so many accounts an comments deleted in the history of sports.. Thanks for the Straps.. #StrapSeason #PutEjInDirt #ManDown? 😂
@@mackworldo.n.e9632 bro these dudes get soo delusional when they start talking shit about how they know this n that lol its crazy. Its always the same dudes who talk soo much shit n not know anything about boxing lol i knew Crawford was gonna destroy Spence. Cuz all you had to do was watch thier fights n if you know boxing you would have known that bud was gonna destroy Spence.
One of the most underrated fighter out here good to see him finally get his stripes from all the boxing world. We not going to see many switcher fighters on his level throughout boxing. In my opinion.
Bud is so unique, the longer he fights the more dangerous he becomes. Even when you catch him it just pisses him off and he’ll try to kill you. He could have ended Errols career completely but he showed mercy, a true magnanimous king.
It was easy because he fought a shell of a man "I am not the same man" Spence said that about himself his coaches said he wasn't the same after the crash. You've obviously never trained a single day in your life or you'd understand once your body is in shape boxing is 70% mental he had some bad ptsd from the crash and was again a shell of his former self. If I was Crawford I'd understand this and be ashamed I never got to fight him at 100% I want to win beating an opponent at his best not a dying lion. But a wins a win
@@zackdelarosa14 then don't box. Don't claim to be pound for pound. Don't allow others to bost for you. It would have been the same outcome years back. "Bud" elevates his skillset with each opponent. Bud just has a higher boxing IQ. Way better adjustments and reads. Not taking anything away from what Spence has done. Great talent.
@@jamesstephens5314 dude did you read my comment ptsd and boxing being 70% mental I am sure that and the broken orbital didn't do him any favors I understand it's circumstances but you can at least agree to that if you had brains. Pre crash I think it go differently whose to say
I’m so glad Terence Crawford is finally getting his just due, It’s crazy to see the amount of credit he is getting now that he did exactly what he told everyone he was gonna do years ago.
I don't get why people are saying this stuff about TC not getting his due respect? Is there something I'm missing. Ever since I got into boxing like 6 years back this dude was already regarded as an absolute monster in the sport. When I trained boxing I would watch him constantly to try and mimic and learn how he moved. I never doubted for a second Spence would get mashed.
Crawford is like the Lionel Messi of boxing. Humble but confident, a family man, and an absolute genius at his craft. I’m a big Canelo fan but Crawford is one of my favorites as well.
I just recently got into boxing and discovered Crawford what a beast man! Dude brought the fire to the fight and make it look easy!!! Glad I got to see it. 👏🏼🔥
Good stuff Angel. There are a ton of great boxing channels on YT as well as full classic fights. See Hagler v Hearns, the Gatti vs Ward fights as an appetizer.
I've watched Buds career from early on and can't believe it's took this long for him to get anywhere near the recognition he deserves. He's like Djokovic in tennis, he has no real weaknesses in his game. Despite knowing how good he was, I have to admit, I didn't expect him to make it look so one sided against someone as good as Spence. So impressive.
I personally didn’t give Spence a chance. If anything, I’m surprised Crawford didn’t knock him out earlier. But Crawford has a lot of respect for Spence, so it makes sense.
@@jefeseason4990crawford was the favorite. Danny gift decisions garcia, ugas with one win against a 41 year old pac and close fight with porter no power shawn aint it. Spence could not even wobble mikey in a 5th division averaging 10 punches per round. A mikey who was getting pushed back vs lipinets at 140. Brook who got dominated vs ggg wasnt it either. Spence the next best welterwieght after crawford due to competition. That simple. Even mean machine did better and even dropped crawford. One legged benavidez did better than spence. Crawford best current welterweight.
100% because that's wen Gamboa still had it...u know how I know.. Gamboa had bud phased for a moment....but he composed himself and finished him off...Gamboa did better then Spence lol
Terence speaks😃😃 with the self confidence of a champion when he gives the credit for his skill to his coaches. this is most powerful speech that i ever seen in my entire life,,It is so rewarding,,thank you all
Boxing fans already knew how great Bud was. He was the favorite going into the fight. People are just stunned by how poorly he made Spence look. Going into the fight, I thought that Bud would win, but I wanted Spence to win. I NEVER imagined that the gap between these two great fighters was so wide. Bud, deserve all of the recognition that he is getting from Main stream media!
JRE, great interview!! The Champ is here!!! Always happy to see someone that's the caliber fighter of Crawford, get his recognition. He's always grounded, he's always confident. He gives God, his team and others credit, even though he's been a blessing to us fans. He's definitely a generational talent, so happy I am able to live and share and witness these moments of greatness.
I remember watching his early fights and saying to myself nobody’s gonna beat this kid! He’s super sharp and has power in both hands, he’s already a legend.
He’s also so economical with his punches too, he wastes very little energy in the first 6 rounds (should his opponents last that long) so as the fight goes on his power gets higher and the guy he’s in the ring with can’t come through the power. Plus that jab it’s so stiff and but has such a snap to it. One of the very best in any division of any era of the sport!
Bud is the best fighter today and his pfp #1 is correct but it doesn't illustrate how much of a monster he is. *Counter punching *Timing *Distance *Reflexes *Footwork *Speed *Power in both hands *Orthodox and southpaw *Boxer and puncher *Can brawl and box *Boxing IQ This man is a boxing genius and not only an legendary boxer he is also a elite athlete in general. Class act
I said this for years that he was the best! He had versatility and accuracy. He is never afraid to indulge in the style you think you're better. Each time he fought he got better and picked fighters apart. Watching him was always amazing ❤
I've been watching Terrance 'BUd' Crawford for a very long time. Such an amazing fight it felt like hagler hearns in a way. Glad to see him getting the recognition he's well deserved. Such a tactician. Makes watching boxing pleasurable again.
Since Floyd, I have Never witnessed such brillance, and the double stance makes it even more special...i really hope u gonna do a world tour London or Paris I will come and pay due respect...a True legend...(like marvin marvelous, Ray sugar, tommy, manas de pierras....
So happy Bud is finally getting the recognition he deserves. I’ve been saying he’s the best in the world for years now, he got to prove it on the biggest stage
This man is a beast. He made Khan to quit, made Shawn Poter and his dad to quit, punished Benevidez and knock him out in the 12 round, demolished Spence to the point where it became hard to watch. Did y’all see what that boy Crawford did to those boys? None of them wanted a rematch..Khan made me laugh the most😂😂😂
@@lebronjamesharden3958bro he had a car accident that nearly needed his life. I was neutral in the fight but respect Errol as well. Yes he lost but he is still an exceptional fighter
@@lebronjamesharden3958nah errol ain’t overrated he has names like ugas, crawford, mikey garcia, danny garcia, brook(when he was good), porter crawford was just the better boxer
But also if you look at his balance. He doesn’t rely on leaning forward a ton like spence does. (And many other fighters) He can throw shots from any posture/position and shift his weight effectively. Many fighters, even high level ones have certain habitual movement patterns that cause them to be in bad positions from time to time whereas Crawford doesn’t. He is extremely fundamentally sound yet people were saying Spence is more fundamentally sound
@@bhopirl4552- I never bought that. They saw his superior athletic ability as a mark against him and they were wrong. Him being athletic doesn’t mean he’s not as technical or even more so.
@@kingwillie206 exactly, it’s usually the opposite. The most athletic people are potentially the most fundamental because they have the means to do everything right whereas others must compensate in some way
Crawford whooping Spence 's ass was one of my all-time favorite fights! I have a long list going back to the Tyson era, but that beautiful destruction was an absolute classic!
This is probably the best conversation that I’ve heard thus far. It’s weird how our culture doesn’t know how to ask the questions. Joe Rogan really shows how articulate Terrence is by the type of questions he ask… as a fighter you don’t necessarily watch fights, but you’ve watched boxing a lot of it. So you know styles, what a person is capable of, and what they’re not.
The rewards Bud is getting are well overdue and 💯% earned. I’ve been a fan of Bud since he came here to the UK and boxed Ricky Burns. His humility and his character has never become anything egotistical or arrogant. Since that back stage banter with Errol, we’ve been waiting for that fight, and in a weird way it’s a shame one had to lose. You’ve always been special in my circle of friends in Liverpool, UK. ❤
Great comment mate. I’m from Glasgow and was at the fight. I love Ricky but everyone present that night knew Bud was mega special and would go on to greatness. The best I’ve ever seen live by far, doubt I’ll see better.
This is 1000% on point. If you were at a fight party that night, there was a collective worry that swept through Spence fans at that very moment. The silence in the room, combined with Bud’s stoic and calm demeanor, made what transpired after make sense on so many levels. Legendary…
You've never trained a day in your life and it shows. Once your body is in shape boxing is 70% mental imagine Spence surviving a 80 mph crash it's safe to say mentally he was scarred its easy for us to say "get over it" we've never almost died like that. His coaches said "he was never the same after that" Spence even said "I am not the same man I was" I am not taking anything away from Crawfords skills I'm just pointing out elementary facts Spence was a shell of a man Crawford didn't fight a 100% Spence and that's a shame. If I was Crawford I wouldn't take the win like he is. He killed a dying lion not a prime one
@@zackdelarosa14stop it. He would’ve done what he did BEFORE the accident. It’s a reason why this fight took so long to make and why Al has kept Errol away from southpaws.
@@martinsmith7368 I'd like to believe you I really do but we both know that's not true. Pre crash Spence didn't have that trauma taking away from that 70% mental IF your own coach notices you aren't the same fighter after a near fatal crash how are you not gonna play that as a factor 🤔 70% mental after your body is in shape ptsd from a car crash its not rocket science bro
In 2018 Crawford ran into Spence. Crawford told him when I stop you everybody going to say you were too weak and stayed at 147 too long. Spence said on my life you won’t stop me I’m the dog of the division. Crawford told him be careful what you wish for 😂
As soon as crawford got to 147 I said he would beat Spence...but I have to say Errol looked physically a shell of himself. I'm just calling it how I see it🤷🏾♂️
@@jaywill742 I've seen some videos claiming he has neurological damage from his car crashes. It can take years for symptoms to fully show up. His speech is a lot more slurred a few years after vs before. Crawford's still great, but Spence looked so bad I think he might have been mentally compromised going into it
I watched it over and again. It is spectacular watching Crawford. I used to watch Trinidad over and again now I watch Crawford over and over again and again. Very entertaining for me. I don't get tired of watching him and tank. More Crawford.
Terrence Bud Crawford and Naoya The Monster in Inoue both made their best opponents to date in Errol Spence and Stephen Fulton look like they didn’t belong in the same ring as them. Incredible performances. Crawford is an All Time Great
I live here in Omaha, and I run into Terrence ALL THE TIME. He hangs out at the bars and clubs downtown in the old market, and surprisingly, at a country bar called BushWackers. Lol. He doesn't roll with security; he just comes out with him and his couple of friends. Very low key and chill guy. He represents my city so well in the media. It's so awesome.
