In this performance, she embodies what most Americans thought of as "femininity" during the 1950s. And while that image is no longer relevant, it still carries for me real charm and charisma, since I was born in 1950 and grew up in that decade. The song itself may seem impossibly corny by today's standards, but I love it anyway because Teresa herself is one of the cutest women I've ever seen.
