Lyrics for @eurovisionukraine 's entry for Eurovision 2024 by Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil. Sending peace, love and good luck to Ukraine from the UK! 💙💛
Expectations for men: higher income then his partner, better job then his partner in an corporate environment that pushes female quotas, smarter then his partner, be social, isn't allowed to show emotions, has to be fit Expectations for women: don't be obese, don't use emotional abuse to get what you want out of your relationship women sure have it hard these days
Why, though? I'm no feminist but if you were living in my country where over 8 young women were murdered from the start of this year you would agree. Now also keep in mind English is my second language and I was too excited typing that. @MrPinkfloydian
@@tudormarginean4776 What your saying has not much to do with this songs lyrics.. I don't do politics over the internet where in my comment did I say that? Also I wasn't referring to Ukrainian women but in general.
With us mama Teresa, Diva Maria All the divas were born as the human beings З нами мама Тeрeза й Діва Марія Босі, ніби по лeзу, йшли по зeмлі With us mama Teresa, Diva Maria All the divas were born as the human beings
Word correction on that part With us Mama Teresa, Diva Maria All the Divas were born as "a human being" Not the human beings If you listen carefully that's what she sang, a human being. Anyways, stunning song it gives me chills and suddenly made me cry it's sooo good❤️🔥 I love this song and Israel's because it resonates with a lot if people now a days. We live in a broken world but there is hope. 🇺🇦 🇮🇱 🙏🏼 ❤️🩹
Thank you for this! I'll assume this translation was well made AND it even explains what I have been questioning myself: - Could this be a major language-barrier's mistake? (... an even worse being awarded with a almost certain victory... even though it is a TERRIFIC song AND staging act!) So it is pretty clear with this translation: - In Ukrainian "Diva" has all of it "divine" character in the "Virgin" Mary reference. But the thing is... if I'm correct... it has a whole different meaning in English! So, English-speaking people, what do you think about their use of "Diva" in the international chorus? It's wrong, right? This is even worse when they always use this chorus line as their motto/tagline during interviews saying that "everyone was born diva". WHAT THE... HELL?! Anyone agree with me or am I missing something here? For me the International chorus should have been solved/adapted something like this: - With us, Mama Teresa, Divine Maria - All divinities were born (as?) human beings.
In another world, where Eurovision was won by good songs, this one would have been the winner, for sure. But, in our world, it's all politics and neighbors voting each other as always... old Europe, ex-Yugoslavia, ex-CCCP, Nordic...
It's a shame that Eurovision voters decided to "pity vote" Ukraine to victory in 2022 when their entry was such a mediocre song. This song by Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil actually deserves to win.
??? Mediocre? It was a great song, maybe it got votes to win and we all knew it, but they deserved it then and they deserve it now, as far as I'm concerned they should win this year too.
Navit she zmaly my shukaly shlyakh Ta zhyttya - petlya, niby dlya tykh, khto padae Na svoikh pleyakh she male divcha Nese z bolyu chan i vbacha, shcho to vada ye Znovu ne taka, to nadto m'yaka Odyah na kistkakh, holyaka chi to pid vinets De tvoye dytya? Love the song. But the mother Teresa bit I'm not so sure about. A very controversial figure. Possibly she caused a lot of pain to those in her care. Watch Christopher Hitchens documentary about her and decide for yourselves. Having said that the song has a very haunting refrain. Better than the one that wins prob.
The whole Christianity in itself and it's history is very controversial, has huge amounts of blood on it's hands. What about it... Still many people even nowadays close their eyes on many things, still like the religion and it's still encouraging to some, so well... These two characters appear in the song as just symbols anyway. One of them is only a book character. The legend about the second one is more important to most her followers than any potential truths about the real person. Besides, it's human nature that many people have a weakness for religions, especially in dramatic and hopeless situations. There isn't much more than desperate faith, desperate hope left for people in desperate life situations. It's usually good for people if they can console themselves with anything that works on them, as long as it works, to survive against everything without becoming broken or to die with a clear conscience.
Go way lol and don't eat to much out of date russian propaganda everything Albanian must be labeled horrible and bad let me make samthing clear to you and anyone no one suffer in hands of an Albanian Mother and Mother Teresa Was An Albanian Mother Albanian Mothers gave they're children to nazis to save jewish children All Albanian Mother are saints and no one can throw dirt at them we won't tolerate that 😡
The lyrics are too Christian for this song to win...it's not woke enough, no nudity, no sex, no man with a bird, no non-binary, no lesbians, no transgender, no man in skirt... It's a powerful song, should have won...
