I am thoroughly enthralled by this remarkable person and can spend a lifetime watching her speak without ever growing tired. Although I am from Nigeria, where this sport is not widely followed, I stumbled upon Sydney Colson's clips on RU-vid and was immediately drawn to her. This led me to discover the Aces and their compassionate players and Coach Becky, who have become my favorite team. I now have the pleasure of following other teams, such as Indiana, Connecticut, Storm, Liberty, Lynx, and Chicago, and admire their players. I am particularly inspired by Theresa Weatherspoon's story and wish for similar opportunities for young girls in my country. The WNBA has become my constant source of delight, and I never miss any highlights. God bless the WNBA and all the fans ❤️💪🏻❤️
oh mannnnn i cried half of this video. To me, this was the 2nd most emotional speech , after Allen Iverson. T-Spoon, you're my ALL-TIME favorite female and one of my ALL-TIME favorite players. It was a JOY watching you. The biggest heart! the biggest Passion! The only sad thing is not winning ONE....just ONE Ring in our home New York. Congratulations. You are a Legend. I might burst into tears if i ever meet you
WOW...I just relived memories yesterday of ”THE SHOT” she took in game two of the 1999 WNBA Finals versus those three ladies who inducted her in. Now to see all that history sitting there 20 years later....AMAZING!!!
I have a Sports Illustrated magazine from Jan. 9th 1989, you open it up and ten college athletes are there from the Honda awards program, under the title, “Practice Makes Perfect” and there sits a young Teresa Weatherspoon from Louisiana Tech University.
What a humbling and inspiring speech. T Spoon is an amazing gift to the game of basketball and life. I have watched a number of HOF speeches and this was by far the BEST!!
Wow, Simple Amazing Speech she had me in tears,😢 and laughing 😂 at the same time. But most of all she had me Admiring and Respecting her admiration for the game of basketball and for her fellow players and coaches And for their friendship and last but not least. The love of her Family🥰 😊 Your Mom was right you are a good story teller 😅 that frog story was amazing and very true 😊 Big ups to T-Spoon put some Respect on her name and that game 3 point shot half court 👍🏼👍🏼 Much love to All of them 🥰 I of course remember watching them all play the game. That I too love so much. And coach T-Spoon will continue to make History as your doing right now in 2024 Coaching the Chicago Sky 😊 Love you Coach 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽😊
Coach Spoon is the best, just so humble and she thanked everyone that touched her formed her make up of what an incredible person she is. If she coached me or I was her teammate I would run through a brick wall for her! I would love to meet her, such an amazing soul ❤
May she continue to have successful as a coach now in Chicago. I hope she gets her players to be determined and work hard without holding back the way we did when she played👏👏
Even though this is 5 years ago. I remembered me, you and Becky met at basketball city. We played together and laughed together. But what afterwards we saw a time on at basketball city and we never lost love for each other. Congratulations always and more that you’re a coach in WNBA YEP!!!
Teresa was good in high school and middle school and was a hard worker on the basketball court and strong can.shot the ball good passing and rebound made history and played in.collge sets record in college and went to wnba new York library and was awesome guard she was one best onthat team and always good on defense and jersey. Should be up and now int the top office and hall of fame m.v.p
They were beginning their WNBA careers when i was in middle school in the late 90s and 2000s. They were great to the game of basketball. Girls can play basketball.
timhoward5 man I was thinking the same women played harder back in the 80’s and 90’s could be because they didn’t have much opportunity so they played most of their pick up games street ball and against men it’s most definitely something missing now
One of the best performances I have ever seen, was T-Spoon's night vs. #1 Texas in the Final Four. She carried the Lady Techsters to an incredible win, she refused to lose, refused to allow the team to lose. Incredible performance. Go Spoon!
Awesome heart felt ❤️ speech had me laughing and crying happy tears for you congratulations to a fearless professional basketball player athlete 👏 God bless you!!!!!!!
