Not claiming that I know history more than you but Indians were promised that if they will fight for queen then Britishers will leave India, that's why they fought irrespective of their creed either Sikh, Hindu or Myslim. Even Mangal Panday and his men initially also fought for queen. Mangal Panday and his men's rebellion took place due to religious reasons not for patriotic reasons when it started. Although, these 21 guys were in the British Army, their bravery is still unchallenged and was recognised by the whole world.

@sanju15able and one more thing , this fight took place on the Indian land when afghans charged on saragarhi post, not when Britishers attack Afghanistan, so technically these 21 soldiers defended Indian Territory. Agar ye Sikh Rani laxmi Bai ke against larhe hote to history me inka naam nai hota aur Jo inki Yaad me memorial Bana hai Indian Army jise maintain Karti hsi wo bhi nai Bana hota.

Saragarhi war memorial search Karo apko pata lag Jayega. This movie, kesari is based on battle of saragarghi, that happened way back in 1897, in the memory of those Sikhs & their unmatched bravery, as never before there is a special Sikh regiment, called, "21 Sikh regiment" in Indian army .

Proud to be Indian. My Mom and Dad and even my brother and myself we are serving in Indian Army. Proud generation of Indian Army. I join the army to be honour with Param Vir Chakra. Being Indian army whether I am in a war zone or not, whether I will come back alive or not but this I know for sure i will come back alive or wrapped with Tiranga.
