Other famous players of the Bass VI (commonly called The Six)...are Rick Danko of The Band, Glenn Campbell, Jack Bruce of Cream, and a few others I can't recall at the moment.
That's a Fender Bass VI he's playing. It's kind of a hybrid, between a guitar and a bass. More of a baritone with a 30. inch scale. It's the guitar that "Nigel" in the Spinal Tap movie said, "don't touch it, don't even look at it". His had lace sensor pickups however. The Bass VI, unmodified, wears 3 jaguar pickups.
