Dan you should use Termidor HE imo instead of Taurus Termidor He only requires 2x4” trenches AND concrete drill holes require 18 inches of space instead of 12 inches

Exactly and it has polymers in it to bond in the soil more that's why you use less. Termindor SE will work fine, but the industry kinda has moved on with HE over the past 4-5 years. I notice you said you inject at a depth of 30 inches, depending on the foundation the label calls for 48 inches minimum and even deeper if they have a basement for example. I also notice you are not drilling holes 12 inches apart across the patio or the driveway so you are leaving GIANT gaps in the barrier. We drilled patios, driveways and patched the holes when we were done with cement.
@DanTheBugMan
@DanTheBugMan 5 месяцев назад
Yes depending on the foundation, not many foundations have footers deeper than 30 inches in my experience. Unless its a basement, in which case the he label says "if the footing is more than 4 feet below grade treat to a minimum depth of 4 feet". Which means treat at least 4 feet down, but not required to do more. I don't know anyone who has a rod longer than 4 feet🤣! That rod would be crazy! Do you have a rod that long? North Carolina rules stated 30 inches so that is what I was going off of. And the customer didn't want us to drill the patios. We had the customer sign a waiver.

@Holstro_
@Holstro_ 3 месяца назад
@@DanTheBugMan Not to be that guy man but the label is what you need to go off of, not what North Carolina says. Most labels are universal and will specify mostly situations like New York and California for different laws. So if you have a 36" Rod then you need to dig a 12 inch trench then rod to full length of 36". Or dig an even deeper trench.

Are you not going to drill the slab areas
@gr8fulnbama439
@gr8fulnbama439 5 месяцев назад
The house has all kinds of slabs connected to it and that counts as the perimeter too. If you don't treat it ,Its just a spot treatment then. If I wasnt going to drill it, I would at least trench outside the perimeter of the slabs themselves. I did termite work for over 20 years and we would spot treat active areas with Termindor and treat the perimeter with Sentricon. I hope for this company their state regulators are not watching
@DanTheBugMan
@DanTheBugMan 5 месяцев назад
No we don't unless necessary and customer didn't want me to. Unless the termites are clearly coming in under the slab the soil treatment will always take care of the colony. Just think, the termites are foraging for food everywhere in the soil in a spider web like fashon, they will come in contact with the product even if we skip over a side walk or drive way. We hand the customer a waiver and still issue the warranty.
@DanTheBugMan
@DanTheBugMan 5 месяцев назад
@@gr8fulnbama439 Everything I did in this video was per label and state regulations. Just because you did it one way for 20 years doesn't mean there's not another way to do it. Open your mind to new possibilities
@gr8fulnbama439
@gr8fulnbama439 5 месяцев назад
@@DanTheBugMan Well I just stopped last year and open my own pest business, not doing termite. It may different where you at, but in Alabama you cant skip any slab areas even if the customer says so. The Alabama waivers themselves way "customer not wanting an area treated isn't a valid excuse." So we would spot treat the same infected areas with Termindor and treat the perimeter with Sentricon to cover the rest of the house We could not put them in bond with a spot treatment. Then again Im guessing it's different where you at

@@dereckc9469 wasn’t a scare tactic I’m just saying realistically if you did a trench only termite treatment you probably missed a couple of areas that normally we drill into concrete For example I usually drill 1 hole on each corner of the garage driveway I usually drill 3-4 holes on A/C pads that are up against the house If you have a backporch I’d say it’s a 50/50 chance that should’ve been drilled unless it’s monolithic etc.
