Administration is a very useful stat as it allows you to use more organizations. Organizations can allow your councilors to be far more flexible than when you first get them, granting huge amounts of stats, new mission types and resource income (including boost!). Look especially for orgs that grant economy % and research % increases over flat money and research amounts as they will scale with your countries.

Some of the best traits: Striver, Quick Learner. Both make augments (aka bought +1 skill increases / traits) cheaper.

Also, early game billionaire helps, though spoiling oil states generally gives enough cash. The same counts for high influence councillors, although some of these traits have the downside that you can never go to ground anymore (not good lategame). In my opinion, the very best starting traits are Striver, followed by Quick Learner and then Crew as you can't buy these traits later and they are really, really good. Also starting with either Government or Criminal is a bonus, most councillors (though not all!) can buy these traits later, but then it costs 50 (for criminal) or 100 (for Government) influence.

@@bastange8856 Crew is quite meh given how many orgs give that amount as a side bonus. Elder Statesman or Media Darling are great. Some premades are op like Sean Dioz who has research trait + technocrat (another 5% social + other) even though he isn't even professor/scientist. Alex Essenmacher is another slightly op non-randomly generated councilor. Gov and criminal indeed are great for holding specific orgs.
@bastange8856
@bastange8856 Год назад
@@magitsu Crew is very nice to have on at least one Councellor since the free Ops allows you to pick 'hire scientists' over 'hire generals' in the early game event. Also Crew gives security, which is always good to have even though it won't really matter untill late game. You are right that you'll easily get Ops from orgs somewhat later in the game. I do like the research traits, but they so often are attached to characters with poor missions. The few characters that have them that are not professors or scientist are therefore really valuable. Although the rare professor that actually has a decent persuasion is not too shabby.

I'm surprised nowone spoke about the country of origin of your councellors yet. I prefer to have at least one governor from the USA, since it allows for some nice orgs without having to get a point in the USA. Same for Chinese and/or Russia. I only select on that criteria if I still have a roughly equal choice otherwise, but I find it does help.

@@bastange8856 I prefer China, Russia, USA, UK or Australia. Italy or Mexico (or Russia) for someone if you have a criminal. If your initial plan includes taking points in any of them, then that councilor's country isn't needed. It will be interesting to see whether they keep expanding these. For example there's at least two known terror orgs which require sociopath trait but they don't really give that good rewards at the moment.

Admin is by far the most overpowered stat. It adds control point cap, allows orgs which can often add other stats at the same or even better rate than simply buying that same stat via level up AND it allows you to flexibly move stats around by re-equipping different orgs as the situation requires. If the player is not maxing admin first on all councillors as a matter of course then you have chosen to play suboptimally.

Personally i try to find a Diplomat, a Commando, a Professor, a Investigator and a Politician. The diplomat, professor and politician deal with national administration, while the commando and investigator do spec-ops (sometimes together).

Thanks for the video, building a good team is a struggle. If I could make one suggestion for your future videos it would be to have your voice louder than the in game voices as they tend to blend with your own and makes it harder to hear you clearly. Best of luck to you!

Government and Criminal are 2 important traits, they are mutually exclusive however. Government let's the councilor take agencies like CIA and Mossad and government research groups which sometimes give boost income. Criminal on the other hand let them gain crime syndicates like Yakuza, Triad, Cartels, Mafia, etc which not only give nice income but also add stats and give access to some missions. Pay attention to organizations that give administration bonus as well.

@@mitjapintar4609 yeah did same pushed investigation on one councilor, only geting adming high enough to get +inv, then pushed admin on guy with hostile teakover. After that i went shoping in hostile factions... this game is extremly complicated. Longer i play more i realize that ppl on channels barely use offensive ops.

I am so glad I found your channel, I tried Terra Invicta but could not relate to what I was suppose to do, or click on and what effect clicking on a specific button will do or is suppose to do. Since you are going to do Beginning tutorials on this game I went ahead and picked it up.

I have a problem in that I am a serial restarter. In one early start I had an investigator/Detainer and a tycoon. I would investigate opposition councillers until I found ones with orgs that had admin cap. I would steal them and add them to my councillers both depriving my opponent of cap while adding to my own as well as cherry picking orgs that boosted my councillers so my hunter was max command, adviser was max admin and high research and persuader was also pimped out. The run would have been so powerful but I think I screwed up because I wanted to unify north america but it was taking too long. I was dumb to delete it I think this is a very powerful snowball strat as orgs give more points as well as more abilities. I think it is well worth trying out and making a vid on. Just be warned that if you focus on a particular faction they will get so mad with you that they declare war on a country. I had US and Mexico but didnt ally the 2 do servants attacked me with france. Cover you ass and ally your nations to protect them.

Need to have the coup d'etat mission for the guy hunting alien fauna/flora and occasionaly stabilise my countries? Not needed. Ah well, as you said it comes down to specialisation. I'd disagree, persuasion might be important but it is admin that takes the cake. Orgs give the same or more points and can be swapped/specialised as needed. It is the one trait I like all my councilers to have a lot of, mid game aim is the maximum of 25 with orgs on all councilors to be specific. Then it comes down to their use... My first playthrough I went with the following: One persuasion speciallist: public campain, turn councilor, inspire (improves loyaltie, get your own councilors turned back) One investigation specialist: investigate (aliens, enemy councilors for bonus/enable other missions, own to look for turned), crack nation (mid game most important to get into a country), detain One espionage specialist: purge (that's how you get a country late game), assasinate (get of my country you damn servan councilor) One command specialist: assault enemy asset (alien flora... so much alien flora), stabilise nation (depending on target countrie very useful) The adviser: Max out admin, science with a bit added command when possible, only needs advise mission. A few percentages don't make a lot of diffrence early game, but mid game, advising say the USA, China, India or EU? 25% more science income you say? Ah, no don't forget about the boost to economy or add to military development. One trait I rate very high is quick lerner and the improved version striver. Tend to keep them long term so anyone with those traits that adds to leveling up merits a deep dive if you can use them. As for the initial rush, for your persuasion specialist look if the traits add their bonus in the countries you wish to take over and that they do have the control nation mission as a start. With the traits that give income, I'd argue they are more important early on, a consideration when you intend to exchange that particular councilor later. Speaking of this you may have noticed some traits have stronger forms (something linke affluent - wealthy - rich - billionaire or well known - famous) . An idea I'll try in my next playthrough is leveling a scientist specific in his field to get the big research bonus early. Mistake in my last was developing too quick and ignore the warning when killing every alien councilor I found.
