The IC start would have been fun too. With all that steel, we can afford to play 7 power prod and mine on turn 1 that can be combined with the two heat of mohole extraction.
If you want to tweak the layout even more, I would recommend having "Headquarters" marked as "Hidden" and "Effects" as "Synthetic". No need to have your Corp ability all the time on screen and Synthetic makes all the ongoing effects and points from cards much easier to parse. Also extra space, so the map stays in the same row for longer
Hiding the corp is very smart, I'll do that in the future! Using synthetic for the blue cards is something I have experimented with in the past. I don't like the aesthetic of it, but I might still use it in the future since it improves readability by a lot.
Seems dubious to me to keep large convoy with no consideration spent at all but then skip advanced ecosystems. Both are just plays as points in the endgame, both are about efficient. But as we're sp'ing oceans a lot for kelp, so getting the ocean with large convoy is not a given at all, and large convoy is so inflexible compared to ecosystems. No titanium prod either (i guess in your mind you did, considering your amc-confusion) Large convoy did end up getting the last heat tr, but that was a gamble on finding optimal synergy and not finding deco/eco/viral which i'm not certain about at all.
Yeah, that seems like a misstep on my part. Either you consider both or none. Of course you can also decide to keep only one of them due to the opportunity cost of buying the cards but then I should have given it more consideration still.
I am playing both on Steam, meaning via the official Terraforming Mars game (and this is where I record most of my videos) and via BGA, which is a free website where you can play all sorts of boardgames (and this is where I recorded this video on). Both ways are of course perfectly legal and have their up- and downsides.
@@marsexpert4276 Thank you, in fact I did not know BGA but in its being so "essential" in its graphics it is nice because of its being free... Great to know it exists (i rarely play on the computer)
This layout is very good, all the cards are clearly visible and your camera isn't really blocking anything (except when drafting).Btw, you can see how many cards your opponent bought in the log right after they buy their cards (since you wanted to know in gen 2). You can also see the cards in your draft pack in the log in case you forget (gen3)
