Regarding hte Eco Architect tipping the card: I think it's only when an *action* is performed that a blue card gets tipped on its side. So every time someone places a Forest, you get that blue die - and you don't have to tip the card on its side.
I played this solo yesterday and did not win. It’s tough! I believe the discounts are permanent. That’s how I played it and it’s in line with how main TM handles that kind of benefit.
@@DaniCha I just checked. The book does say that discounts and effects are not flipped. They are always active. (Page 10). So that would save you a fair amount of resources over the course of the game. 👍🏻😁
Dani, played my first game of this last night. i started one game and realized i was playing the cards wrong so started over. i finished my game with full temp but 1 shy of oxygen and i still had 3 water tiles left. question for you. can you only get water tiles from the cards or is there a way to get them through another means? seems like there is a lot of cards to go through and i just couldn't find the ones with the water tiles. maybe i was playing wrong.
Yeah I think in this game, water tiles are placed from cards. But it’s been awhile since I’ve played it, so I could be wrong about it! Maybe I’ll play it again this weekend!
@@DaniCha i know you can turn in 3 water drop blue dice for a water tile also. maybe i should have done that more often. i got to the end of the game and realized i still had 3 water tiles left. and you need all water tiles, temp and oxygen all the way up for victory condition, plus any points. but since i didn't get the first 3 i didn't add any points. i have it set up again to play tonight again. i enjoy that game.
Thanks for the video! I'm confused about the bonus cards... you get to look at 4, choose 1. Are you supposed to shuffle the remaining 3 or is it ok to know which bonuses are upcoming and in which order? Or could you even return the bonus cards in a preferred order? I think that might make a difference in play/strategy.
