My pops was from that era!!! He recorded and produced a lot of those artists you mentioned as well!!! When pastors here me they say I have foundation because I don’t play a lot of the new stuff unless requested or required!!!
As a person who’s in the in between stage of young and a little older, I don’t believe the young generation question where these chords came from. I think they just use them a little differently to accommodate the sound of today’s gospel music.
I agree. Whitfield Hawkins Smallwood? Even Crouch. Those guys set the bar high and the younger guys don’t even know it’s been done already. I had the awesome opportunity to play with Joel Smith and his family. The mindset was very very precise with whatever was played.
This is good content, I’m glad he mentioned Thomas Whitfield. I had to play “everything that hath breath” in Jan and I’ve been digging into his catalog.
Sebastian: Is there any way you can go back and list the songs and artists discussed in this video, so that we may purchase this music for study? I would be much obliged.
@@wheatworkspro IT SOUNDS AMAZING! As a musician/pianist, I’m always will to invest in a great sounding keyboard or VST. I don’t like to layer my pianos especially if it sounds great and this one is next level in my opinion. I saw your video of you showing your studio set up and how you run everything a while ago.
