Zerg cant even deal with 4 Vikings, thats how bad Zerg anti-air is. Like it is completly off the usual tech path and it takes forever to built a Spire, and the units you built there are so specific that they are absolutly useless if your opponent decides to built something else...
nah, zerg aint air is really nice, the problem for solar here is that broodlord roach simply isn't a composition to fight mech, it works well vs bio but mech yes vipers are great but at that point might as well keep 4 corruptors to deal with the vikings and some queens close by.
Use is a big word for flying detection. Harstem rly is trying hard to hype up the unit but all it did was save some scans (in late game). Would rather have a thor in the army, literally same cost since minerals don't matter.
We all know that in our leagues. ravens just die. If they get a autoturret out they diamond. but below master they most likely supposed to just fly in with the f2 move and die.
Im with harstem; its one of the biggest mysteries. AA missile is a great spell; scanning tumors in the early/mid game is completely eco insanity compared to building a single raven; and half of all terran games are lost to that fat fungal onto the clumped ghosts... and scanning everywhere all the time is a lot more APM intensive than having a single raven in your army; and it will quickly dissuade such infestor trickery. Oh wait and then you can harass with them as well; indeed definitely not worth 2 supply.
@@eelcohoogendoorn8044 ". AA missile is a great spell" Right man, those pesky zerglings with their massive armor are just such a threat to terrran, and same with those banelings with infinity armor too. Damn, why don't they use them some more indeed....... Raven is simply not worth the investment in TvZ. Not to mention that the Zerg army is simply more mobile than the Terran one so even if AA missile hits, they can just run backwards and it was a wasted cast...
@@shadowpriest2574 zerg air is actually very tanky; and yes upgrades matter in general in the late game. Sure often an AA is just a deterrent; but then again thats massively useful in the defence when prep and positioning is everything; and also huge in the offence; dont want to fight right now thats ok let me just snipe this base for free.
@@eelcohoogendoorn8044 Zerg air is very tanky ? Right, except nothing that terran uses is affected much against air in that sense. For Vikings its a minor buff , against broodlords they use magic dmg , not physical and mutas are far too mobile for it to matter .
Yeah Ravens are massively imbalanced. It's so funny how bad terrans are. They had to officially put it in the patch explanation. Terrans are too bad to use ravens the way other races use all their units, so we have to nerf infestor unburrow times. Terrans face palmed and faced the music, and one of them built a raven. I'm guessing it will be short lived, as guilt isn't the strongest motivator, and terrans didn't magically just get as skillful as the other races.
Harstem has used ravens some, and does it better than any terran. Terrans are usually good at telling their marines to move apart from each other and pushing T.
@@martinkrauser4029 You literally have to turn in your taxes regardless? How does that make any sense? You're just annoying them. The 'amount' of tax forms doesn't change. I'm sure they have a way to scan papers anyway.
@@totaldramagamer5521 "how does that make any sense" you're necessitating manual data entry. Why would you be sure they have a way to reliably scan submissions? Are you a computer vision expert? Do you work in state admin? No, there is no computer vision that can read tax submissions unsupervised. No, the number of tax forms doesn't change but the labor required to process them does when you avoid using an automated IT system. So no, you're not annoying anyone, you're literally creating jobs for the IRS. That person you're "annoying" wouldn't even be working there in the first place because the IT would take their job away. So you're bloating your public admin and feeding what you hate just to make the following point: "my time is worth less than the time of an IRS data entry monkey" cutting off your nose to spite your face y'all are deeply ridiculous lmao
@@martinkrauser4029 A leaf could blow over into the White House lawn and they'll recruit another 40,000 IRS agents to tax the trees responsible for that leaf. Here's how it actually works: If tax numbers go up, more agents. If tax numbers go down, more agents. If tax stays the same, more agents. That is the US government. Not this "better recruit to meet the demand" nonsense. Always bigger, no matter what, at a constant pace. Why is it like this? Because it's America, and we can print more money than you can cut trees into that tax paper form you're hollering about. You are both absurdly confident in the gov't to properly regulate its size to fit a by demand basis, and absurdly underestimating just how spiteful people can be to the tax system. It's almost impressive. -- I'll give you a bonus tip. Check out any gov't office that doesn't involve collecting money... and you'll find they're understaffed to hell despite 'the work load clearly necessitating an increase'. I wonder why...
The only things I cannot do digitally is probably receiving new documents such as passport and foreign passport. My employer pays taxes for me, if I have additional income I can just fit it in app. Electricity, water hot and cold - everything I pay digital way, auto-payment is possible if I wish to do so. I go to snailmail once in a while to receive packages from abroad. I live in Moscow, BTW.
@@jhat2014 meh, there is no such thing as democracy anyway. Either you obey corporations or authocrat. Also checkbooks are not implemented here and we pay online for everything. We even have digital tips in restaurants lol.
@@abyrvalg_ I'm not even sure that I exist or that this phone I'm typing on is real, so no, I'm not sure. Machines are fixable, madness only ends in death. People can change corporations. People can't change a mad king. I dont understand the lack of ravens. I get that they really dont NEED it, Terran has more than enough tools. Just keep it following, out of your army group. I suppose they f2 too much
If Solar would quit pulling back lings in fights and let them do their work while microing his other units instead.. Multiple times he had this game in the bag..
Lotta gas, requires a techlabbed starport, complicates micro. They'd rather pump out vikings/medis with a reactor addon, use scans, save gas, and simplify army control.
@@eliashaider6857 It still is a great harassing unit which can also kind of function like an oracale with less speed. But as u said that wont rly cut it. Just build a lib or 2 to harass^^
A Raven is 100 minerals and 200 gas. A mule can mine 200 minerals. So if you can clear creep tumors in just two small area's, you have just gained more resources than you spent. Every time i see pro's scanning the whole map over and over just to clear creep i slap my forehead Captain Picard style. I get Raven's are difficult to control in your army, but even if it only saves you 2 scans and dies it's saved you resources.
It's not saving resources though. Late game, when they're spamming scans, they already have resources banking, and they'll get those 200 minerals in time from SCVs. And they gain by not building a vulnerable unit, prone to getting itself killed, without a lot of genuine utility in the matchup.
@@martinkrauser4029 it's a huge damage boost if your opponent doesn't just disengage and run for the duration. Which late game, most zergs will do. Infestors, that's what the scans are for. A Raven is admittedly more likely to spot them, but scans are free and aren't taking away army supply.
Terran design is too strong mid-late. Game is not ballanced. Terran can turtle = no one can attack him... terran when attacking can drop u all his army with medevacs..
I learned that the only way I can deal with tanks is Harstem's Hydra rush. They are not that scary to hydras then to roaches. Also could be morfed into lurkers later on.
It's funny how terrans complain about being weak while they also complain about having not enough hot keys for the tools they have. All the while zerg and protons don't even have those tools.😅
Moron86, you sound just as daft as your name. The devs robbed the best units and 'tools' from other races and gave them to Zerg, like Mind Control, Irradiation, Disruption Web, while fortifying and improving all the existing tools they already had, like enabling burrow-move which is stealth with no mp cost, giving Zerg Queens who are tanky, powerful, cheap, anti-air with healing, and adding many units who can force one-sided losses on the enemy at zero risk, like Swarm Hosts and their free locusts or Broodlords with their free broodlings, and vipers with their fking abducts that renders all enemy heavy units useless. In the meantime, Carriers somehow have to build weak-ass interceptors and pay for them too, archons are weak, phoenices weak, Mothership sucks (give back arbiters), dark archon got removed. Terran nukes got nerfed to the point nobody uses them, battlecruisers also useless, their whole end-game unit roster is useless. They finally made Cyclones viable for a few months, and now it's going back to the dumpster fire. Yeah, what a sad state.
@cerber3260 a tool is something a person uses to help complete a task. Example: the unit called a raven, is a tool that terrans can use to disable carriers, battlecruisers, colossus, etc.
Harstem: "Raven is so OP" Yeah, why don't we also nerf Ravens to oblivion? Let's also make Siege tanks spend 50 minerals each time they siege up, while we're at it.
