9:19 that happens when the game spawns a Shadow Chest in the wrong layer becoming this exclusive chest, I found two of these chests, tho you can't get the exclusive weapons and accessories that comes in a normal shadow chest

It makes skimming the top of hell really profitable on pretty much every class. Rangers get Meteor Shot and Starcannon, Melee gets Phaseblades (which aren't awful tbh) and Mages get to become the destroyer of Pre-HM with Meteor Armor Space Gun. And Summoner gets to cry in a corner.

And apparently this has been a thing since 1.0.6? Literally in all my playthroughs of this game I've never seen that happen though. And given that it's been around for so long and meteorite was meant to be post Eater/Brain, I'm guessing the developers overlooked it rather than it being an intentional feature

Not only do your minions lack focus, but the removal of the whip boosting makes it so they do significantly less damage, and when one hit will kill you, it's still incredibly difficult to take on daytime empress. Even worse, summoner's final weapon is locked behind an instant kill superboss while everyone else just has to beat moonlord, maybe collect some weapons on the way. The terraprism is nowhere near as powerful as the zenith, but you still need to trudge through hell and back to get it. Summoner is seriously shafted, especially in pre-hardmode and post-moonlord

I find it funny how many "projectiles" were made NPC's so that the player could kill them so they wouldn't be as annoying, which causes them to be the most annoying enemies in this playthrough.

About mods to tweak projectile limit.. If I remember correctly, it's hardcoded in a really bad way, with a 1000 element array AND the number 1000 being explicitly used by the code handling projectiles, no wonder there's no mods for it :/

Yea; to expand on this.. Projectiles, NPCs, Players, and dusts (the particle effects) all have a constant limit, which is just straight up used in Terraria's source. For projectiles, this is 1000, yes. In order to change that value, a mod would need to "patch" or directly modify the source (see: IL or Intermediate Language editing) in *every* position in the code that uses this constant value. Both of these things are usually considered to be pretty substantial feats, and there are very few modders who even have that much experience who would say its a worthwhile goal.

Hypothetically a long range single hook would allow you to traverse the world without any fear of ranged projectiles, along with a few other slightly overpowered things like immortality (semi) And also you can kill the Moonlord with a cane and such, which I’m doing again immediately after this, with even more weird weapons (First time was ducks, and similar bugs) Of course the Zapinators are now even more broken, there’s that too

The thing with the glow stick could allow for some funny boss fights. Moon Lord(among some other bosses) relies pretty much completely on projectile attack. If one were to throw a glowstick before the fight, one would disable the boss, of sorts.

I love playthroughs like this because they already sound like bad ideas, but then you do it and it turns out that there's an ungodly amount of things that you wouldn't even think about that make it significantly more painful. Especially mechanics that aren't really even intentional on the developers' part, and are just how the game's usual mechanics collide.

The meteorite bars are because primary chest loot is determined by chest type, but secondary chest loot is determined by height. The bottom 250 blocks in the world are all in the same group, in this regard

when he touched the pressure plate and died, chat says he died of an explosive. My guess is that the way blocks are destroyed is an outwards moving projectile but the damage trigger is still active or is another projectile but was activated after the explosions and took over the spot.

You can technically set the autoclicker to press on a specific part of the screen, depending on which autoclicker are you using, that should speed up placing down the beach balls

Every NES game has a limit of 8 sprites on any one line, that's why the flickering happens when the lines overlap more than 8 sprites This can be avoided by using 8x8 sprites but it's definitely harder to make it work and still have it be visible

I kind of thought projectiles just wouldn't spawn if the cap was reached, I didn't think it would disintegrate the other projectile. Also, I literally never knew you could get a Giant Harpy Feather in pre-Hardmode Also also, how did you throw the Ice Boomerang right after you got it? The Glowstick was apparently still in the world and you weren't able to throw it after the next cut so I'm not sure how that works.

Been waiting for this, havent watched it yet but im expecting it to be funny I just realized something whilst thinkint to my self at 1:37, early melee is untouched, late is bad, ranger and mage are nerfed heavily. 4:20 (nice) when I tried this strategy in an actual world (yes, it was very OP), I used an autohotkey script to automate this task, it's not that hard to do (I might edit this comment later to explain how I made it if I find it again)

I mean, I don't see any reason why you can't hack a 999 sentry limit and summon 999 sentries in a box where they can't do anything... EDIT1: They do have a time limit of 10 minutes, unless on an old one's army, then they don't have any limit, and getting the army progress stuck is not too hard EDIT2: Pets and minions are also projectiles, so getting 999 of them in another user and leaving that user afk in a corner of the world is totally an option as well. Also, what happens to footballs with a full limit? EDIT3: Following the idea of having a second user, you could have him throw endless glowsticks/flares/any projectile that doesn't get removed with a full limit

You should definitely learn AHK script . Those 17 minutes of manual clicking can be automated with 4 lines of this scripting language . Or at least download some more powerful macros tool that allows you to record mouse clicks/movements without scripting knowledge .

you actualy got me into Terraria. before, for the past, 6 years, I've been sitting on it because the only reason I bought it was because one of my friends loved this game, and buying games because my friends enjoy it, and I wanna play with them is a reason I buy some games, with no regrets, because even if it's a game I don't like, I might still enjoy playing with firends. but after 6 years of owning this game unplayed since then, watching this, I started playing on my own, and been enjoying it. thanks for that. that being said, I know jack all about this game and could use some advice.
