I wouldn't say that the DPS of the Thorn Chakram > the Trimarang so decisively. You stood very close to the target dummy, which benefits the Thorn Chakram as it travels a little faster and doesn't let all 3 of the Trimerangs to come out. I have a feeling that your DPS count would be different the further away you stood. I would even hazard a bet that if you stood at both weapon's max range, the Trimerang would come out on top. One of the advantages the Trimerang has is the additional projectiles it throws. It means you have additional projectiles if you miss or can more quickly turn around to hit other enemies. Solid for early game crowd control. Still, the Thorn Chakram's poison is a good selling point (especially with the buffs to poison).
Honestly, the trimarang seems easier to get to me, an the ice boomerang and enchanted boomerang aren’t too hard to find, and you just have to farm spore bats instead of the jungle to get the shroomerang.
First, u have to find a boomerang in surface chests/wooden (enchanted boomer in gold chests too I think) then u have to find another chest with frozen boomer or whatever it's called. Lastly, you have to find a mushroom biome and grind for a okay-ish drop chance from a bat. While for the stronger and more easier alternative which is the thorn chakram. you only need to kill 9 hornets which have a guarantee stinger drop (expert and up), and find 6 jungle spores which spawn frequently and drop 2 to 3 spores each. I really want to know and have your luck if you think it's easier to get, but hey that's just my opinion on this.
@@guacolea personally, I try to avoid the jungle at first and explore the ice biome instead, and the skeleton merchant sells boomerangs on a certain moon phase now. I just find it easier than dealing with hornets. Also enchanted boomerangs no longer spawn in gold chests, not sure when that change happened though
