Terraria Hardmode, but the entire world is moved into Space (Wyvern Territory...)

This world is only the space layer of a small world, which makes it pretty cramped, and also breaks half of Terraria's systems.
Fishing time this episode, no way around it really. At least we have about 100 wyverns to keep us company...

In 1.4.4+, a natural Blood Moon or Solar Eclipse removes the cooldown on the Enchanted Sundial, so it's always safe to use it. At 6:06 (in the video) you could have used the Sundial.

It only skips the cooldown if the natural event is a result of timeskip. If you skip a day with the sundial and that night is a Blood Moon, or you skip a night with the moondial and the next day is a Solar Eclipse, it wasn't caused by the dial, so the cooldown doesn't reset.

Others have already pointed it out, but I'll say it as well since it's pretty handy to know: The sundial instantly recharges whenever a bloodmoon or solar eclipse occur naturally (the sun lights up in the video at 6:05). Also, if you fish up a second sundial, shimmer it into a moondial. They have separate cooldowns, so it essentially gives your sundial a second charge.

There is a way to spawn the Mechs again, and to get Souls of Light or Night. It's called Divine and Defiled crates, from fishing in the Corruption or in the Hallow.

@dylangibbons7261 Yeah, I checked it afterwards. I haven't checked the wiki in a while, and I don't use the dials very often, but still. As for patch notes, I read the 1.4.4 notes, and I don't remember seeing that then, but aside from major updates, mobile still doesn't get the same updates as PC. Different teams and all. For instance, I don't know if we have them now, but we didn't get the banner changes at the same time as PC. Whatever the case, though, yeah. Just missed it when I read it.

By the way, I don't know if you're still doing Mythbusters, but if so, here's some fuel: If you have the Presserator, and you place sand on a cliff so it immediately falls, do the actuators place where the sand lands or where the original block was placed? (My guess is where the original block was placed, but I haven't tested it.

In case you (or anyone else) didn't know, there's an exploit to easily complete 10+ fishing quests a day. After you fish up the quest fish, just put it in a chest, which allows you to fish up another. Repeat as many times as you want. Then turn in one quest fish, and put the rest in a chest at spawn (Angler should also be in a house by spawn). Bring a new character into the world for each quest fish, have each one turn in a quest fish and then put the rewards back in the chest.

6:15 you can skip blood moons and solar eclipses for free now! The sundial/moondial automatically recharge when one of those events happen.

fun fact that could have saved time: wyverns, like all worm enemies, CANNOT spawn if the player is standing in front of player placed walls. Meaning you could have just put down some walls and stood in front to avoid the spawns. A town can be more convenient though.

I have a suggestion for Myth Busters. Grab a drone and a drone controller, go into a snow area, turn up the rain to max, (Dig a hellvator if you need to) And bring the drone down into the Underworld to see if it snows in the Underworld. Edit: You can also use a golf ball but the drone is more controllable.

I think wyverns (and a lot of other enemies that can pass through blocks, and I think snow flinx for some reason?) can’t spawn if you’re standing in front of player-placed walls, so that could be a viable way to prevent them from spawning everywhere rather than using NPCs. You could make them glass walls for moon lord I suppose.

I think I mentioned this during one of the other playthroughs, but if your framerate craps itself and slows the game down you can turn Frame Skip on and the game will progress at normal speed, the framerate will be wonky. That does unfortunately mean the footage will be a bit wack since it's a lower framerate, but iirc OBS should automatically account for that and every few frames will just repeat.

Just so you know, you can actually get souls of light and night from their appropriate hardmode biome-crates. It isn't guarantied, but it's still a decent chance, you get quite a few, and its better than not having them!

Apparently, wyverns don't spawn if the player is in front of self-placed walls. So you could have just walled your fishing huts.

I did a run based entirely around fishing, no mining for ores for progression but i allowed myself to mine up some copper and iron for buildings sake, was decent pre-hardmode but the hardmode grind was what got to me, all the crate farming, it took me a long while before i even got one heart crystal, i eventually decided to dupe all the remaining crystals after half way through hardmode cause i think even then i had 140 health, and i had accidentally made the character journey mode because this was before classic mode was the default again. Don't think i bothered to go all the way to moonlord but it was a fun run anyway, spent alot of my time not fishing by building or exploring, figured if i was gunna have to fish a lot i may as well enjoy my fishing zones. Think i must have sold at least like, 12 zephyr fish, its a heck of a grind.

About the jittery sleep... did you enable frame skip? That might help a bit with making the game keep up during sleep. I kinda suspect the underlying reason is the game trying to place something underground but not finding a place to do it... did it start when you entered hardmode or was it always stuttery? Also your shield has a parry function that can avoid contact damage and give a nice boost to the next hit.

So, I know you wont like this idea, but getting souls isnt impossible on this world. You would just need to fish for divine and corrupt crates. These have a chance to contain a handful of souls.

have you ever thought of doing a no crafting playthrough. i did it with my friends. it makes you come up with creative solutions like using the tavern keeper armor for endgame(we did master mode so it was needed but you could prob get by without). worst part of the run is the pick axe especially because fishing is a cardinal sin to us so no reaver shark and the bone pick never dropped so copper pick till golem

Not sure if it would work for you. But a really efficient money farm had frame drop issues and the solution was to hover over an item to display the tooltip. The longer the tooltip the better. Maybe it might make sleeping not 40 fps for you

You actually can get souls of light and night by fishing for divine and defiled crates in the hallow and corruption. They aren’t that rare and it would probably have taken less time then waiting for natural spawns.

I think an improvement to fishing would be to remove the pre-hardmode ore from the loot possibilities for all but the wooden crates, and make the wooden crates drop all types of PHM ores in hardmode.

I think that you should use Jurney mode or cheat some creates when they are only option in playthrought. Or maybe You don't need to if You so much love fishing, but at the end You still cut it off the video and probably it's main reason why most time it takes so much time to play and made new video for us.

Ok I think that the mechs only have the ten percent after a alter is broken and also the hollow and I think also evil biome hard mode crates have souls. Also the blood moon/solar eclipse instantly recharge both sun and moon diyls( I don’t know what they are called and moon is got from shimmering sun)

Armour post mechs is going to be terrible, the only thing that doesn’t require chlorophyte requires ectoplasm to summon the pumpkins moon, you can’t get either of those
