Terraria was released May 16, 2011. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis November 11th, 2011. Watching TB and Jesse play Terraria while I played right along with them, got me through enduring the wekks of catheters, doctors, and diagnosis all alone. To say he will be missed seems like the world's biggest understatement.

We are going to miss him..

This is still one of my favourite videos on the Internet... The unfiltered, unscripted humour of friends and sheer improvised banter is second to non. You're still missed my man, you left your footprint and it's a deep one to alot of people.

This truly breaks my heart. 2012 was the year I discovered Totalbiscuit. At the time I didn't know the amount of life lessons I would learn from this man. There are very few people that I do not know personally that have had the type of impact that John Bain has had on me.

Hey Genna, this was one of my first introductions to John. Thank you for posting this, if it hadn't been for this video I might not have been able to have his influence on my life. Thank you so much for allowing me and so many others to both see this side of him and be introduced to him. He will be missed.

This is where I learned the term "schadenfreude". It is also when I learned the chair turn to end a conversation.

This was my first video that had TB in it. I had no idea what I was watching.

This Freudian Superego needs to revive the series with Crendor and Dodger. I draw inference Crendor will comfort to emphasize the Shadenfreude whilst Dodger will succor Jesse with accompaniment, so to speak.

For Genna Bain and the friends and extended family of John, if you ever read this, i have some small things to say. I have been a rather nonactive fan of Johns work for years, and i think it shows his humanity that however dry, stoic or just disinterested his public face may have seemed, his best intentions always shone through. I think that you will never need to wonder if he'll be remembered only as the man who made those first-impressions gaming critique videos, for his influence and legacy stretches far beyond that. He'll be remembered for his contributions to an esport scene, he'll be remembered for his caring and protective nature of consumers, he'll be remembered as a man who made his voice heard whenever someone was unfairly treated, he'll be remembered as a man who could agree that he made a mistake and tried to correct it even if it was hard. But most of all, he'll be remembered as a loving man who wished for us all to have fun in our spare time. That is a rare and beutiful legacy, but that is no consolation for the death of someone, certainly not for someone such as him. I can say that he is dearly missed by his fans, but he is also more. I think that he will soon be dearly missed by most people affiliated with the games industry in any way, as consumer, developer, or any intermediary role. He was such a force of wit, and such a passionate and caring man that he certainly was influential. I don't need to tell you how good a person he was, since you know more about that than i ever could. I hope you know how very important he was for us all, even someone like me. And I, a sullen 17-year old, have learned from him. He showed me that Stoic cynisism must not necessarily burn, nor must it hold anger. He showed me that even when all my hormones were shifting inside me, screaming at a world now utterly incomprehensibly horrifying, that the Paragons i aspire to be can live in this world, tarnished, but never broken. He showed me how to meet a maddened world on its own terms, and how to meet my friends and family and myself inside it.
