Terraria is truly a testament to how much Relogic cares about both the game and its community. It makes me super excited for what lies in the future for the team.

Now you can legally play every major terraria version without pirating! 1.0 on undeluxe and 1.1 on this, 1.2 on 3DS and WiiU, 1.3 with tModLoader, and 1.4 with opening the game normally.

Man. To think of the fact that Terraria is 13 years old now. Pewds introduced me to this game with his playthrough, been in love with this game ever since (even though I don't play much Terraria as of yet, with all the med school stuff, but I consume Terraria content though). Cenx bought this game to the point at where it is today, so, many thanks to her. If she wasn't there to push Red, we wouldn't have gotten so many "final" updates! Thank you Cenx, Red and the entire Relogic team for making Terraria what it is today. But, on a more serious note though, Rest in Peace, Leinfors. The game could not have been what it is without you. This loss really hurts even me, let alone Relogic and the entire Terraria community. My deepest condolences to those closest to Leinfors 💐💔

Well, I guess they DID launch an update.

Remember when this was the clean up update with some dead cells sprinkled in for fun? Good times... (Good because we where about to glimpse another new rabbit-hole that the relogic crew dived straight into like olympic swimmers 😂)

Dude, the fact that my birthday is May 16th makes me think that Terraria was the best ever birthday gift I could get, and now I get to play an older version that I wanted to play for a really long time! Terraria has always have and will always have a special place just in my heart.

1.1 was what I started with personally so this will be nostalgic. Thanks for the update. :)

they HAVE to do 1.2 soon.... that version holds so many of my childhood memories

I really love that they are giving these legacy versions of the game back to the community in a sense, though I will say I'm pretty surprised that they aren't trying to get them up on GoG as well, that's one of the biggest selling points of that Launcher Good OLD Games, hopefully these transition over there as additional downloads for Terraria at some point.

Having all these older versions which made my childhood is so fun I had so much fun playing the last old version I can't wait to enjoy this one as well

It's crazy how Terraria keeps giving.

I was 5 when Terraria came out. Didnt learn anything about it till sometime around 2015-16. I discovered Stampy's xbox360 playthrough of the game and immediately knew i had to have it. I played the demo a ton and then, July 2016 the game was mine. And from that point it has been my favorite game ive ever played and im so so so glad that it's aged so beautifully.

Im so happy they did this. I missed this old version. I remember struggling against the wall of flesh when i was little,and since then,it quickly became my favourite boss,because it was the most satisfing boss for me to beat. Achieveing hardmode was something back then

1.1 was when first played Terraria and fell in love with it, this is just amazing!

I really hope they put the rest of the major updates as versions you can play via the beta branches. I'd love to go back to 1.2 personally because that's the first version I ever played on

Hell yeah, this was way sooner than i expected tbh. I was doing basically everything available in 1.0.6 version before and was really hoping they would start releasing all the old major versions of the game eventually. I wanna take my character through every version of the game and collect as many items as possible (honestly want to collect everything but i'll see if i have the sanity for that in later versions).

I remember the Kats server. My first worlds, I think I still have a character with 0 mana in a folder somewhere. Man, time reaaaaally really flies.

It's 1.1.2, the *exact* version I started playing Terraria at, all those years ago - that hit me like a truck...

one thing i wish they would add to terraria is "Upper half-blocks", and also a hammer menu for high-tier hammers (in addition to how they normally work) to choose what shape you want to hammer a block into with one swing, whether you want to mine the walls behind or not, etc. it would make quality of life for building so much easier, and make building much, much quicker (Imagine not having to hit a block 4 or 5 times to get an upside-down slope block, or not having to worry about replacing the walls behind where you were hammering... it'd be heaven!) etc. I would design the menu for the hammer kinda like how the grand design functions, and for the lower tier hammers (like any below spectre hammaxe) they don't get the menu, but instead function kinda like the DCU works, where mouse 1 is mining blocks (or in this case hammering) and mouse 2 is for mining walls.

I remember my friend showing me this game when I was 11, there was no underworld yet, dont remember exactly when the game came out but Ive been a fan ever since. Been there for nearly every big update. I can remember how difficult it was to get into a multiplayer lobby back in the day, how people cheated, the mods we had, adventure maps. I wish the game had more praise but Im glad to know that chippy usually gets 200k+ views on every video

Since at this point, I got no idea how many final updates there are, and would like you to know how many there are and roughly what they were (whether it be a large final update or a bug fix final update or a small content final update which ended up being big anyway )

ive been playing 1.1 for the first time for a while now, its chaotic. For example, when i entered hardmode, the corruption spread right next to my houses, which is right next to spawn, also clowns blow up tiles, bloodmoons seem to be really frequent in hardmode, and corruptors spread corruption with their projectiles... As frustrating as these thing can be at times, its soo fun tbh, also is it just my skill issue or is the wall of flesh way harder in 1.1?

The level of quality that is in the combat in terraria, is so great, that; when I was thinking about the way that relogic could theoretically transition it into 3D it quickly became clear to me that it would be a massive undertaking just because the movement system would need to be almost completely overhauled to achieve the same feeling of movement in 3D. That and this game is perfect lol.

I can't wait for the re-release of 1.3, that was my favourite and I remember being off from school, whether I took it off or it was a holiday or what, I don't remember exactly, but I remember playing it all day long nonstop and eating only icecream for every meal

Most of my Terraria playtime was over 10 years ago. Back then, I loved it, but I never really enjoyed or played it nearly as much since then. Now it feels kind of daunting to get back into with all the new stuff, so I might just try playing this old version and maybe switch to the new version later if I feel like it.

I really like how they give us access to older builds, one of my wishes to terria are once again coming true :D

They should make a launcher, so you can play any version, forward and backward. Kinda like Minecraft launcher. This is key difference between Minecraft and Terraria world management. In terraria, every special event (e.g., april fools), is implemented as a seed. In Minecraft, it's its own version. The addition of hidden seeds is truly a culmination of experiences and a sight to behold.
