The reason you fell is because that board was not installed fully (sorry but you did not screw it in enough as that would not have come apart if it was). But, it happens

That was the joke of the me saying what I said lol clearly it wasn't a viewers fault. I could have done a lot of it better/safer. That's why I laughed when I said it at the end of the video.

@@TheCrockers sure, but headlining the video that could make the person who advised you to try that to feel guilty. It’s always about context, but as I said it happens. Hopefully the rest of the builds goes more smoothly

Scaffolding, for safety. But don't blame viewers, not cool. Accountability for owning ones flaws, that's what men do.

Worst thing you can possibly do is working out a bucket of the tractor my very good friend was in the bucket of a tractor helping a neighbor he fell he’s paralyzed he’s in a nursing home now has been there for 12 years it’s very dangerous
@ruokeren1919
@ruokeren1919 3 месяца назад
Had nothing to do with the “advice” you were given. Your fall & injuries had everything to do with your cross beam being unsufficiently fastened with appropriate length and sized fastening screws. If you used a fastened leverage beam high enough with pulley system and a board from ground to beam at an appropriate angle the framing could have been easily raised with minimal risks. Equally, the tractor used to lift the frame was suitable IF you had suitable supports to canter lever onto. Scaffolding could also have been your friend. Unfortunately you want to put a price on safety and go with “sketchy”.. “VIEWERS” gave you suggestions NOT advice. You’re old enough & smart enough to weigh up options and decide what’s appropriate for your circumstances at those times. You’re also mature enough to understand the risks but anything you decide to DO is at your peril.. Nothing your doing comes with NO risk.

Sean James lost a log when he built his outdoor kitchen and learned to use his equipment in a better advantage. I'm sure Jason's learned and has figured a better safer way. He likes to get a rise outta his fans with his humor. Me, I would use lag bolts and 16 nails.

Glad you didn’t get too badly injured. That was a hell of a warning. Please think about a safety hook for your ladder as I notice it wiggling as you move. In the fire service we had a ladder hook that anchored the top of the ladder. Working around that hook will mean that you need to be patient but it beats falls.

I’m thinking your roof is going to sag in a few years. You need headers between those posts. The strength of those 2 sideways 2x4 will not be rigid enough to stay flat. You could add a header under it with some jack studs to make it better. Do you have a plan or are you just making it up as you go?

If Jason listens to a viewers advice the outcome of this in all on Jason! We cannot blaime the viewer who suggested to use the tractor! They have fork lift forks that clip onto the bucket too. These may come in handy for one to lift stuff with. If I take someone's advise and use it then I still have to be responsible for my actions and doings. When we point the finger at so and so we get to leave ourselves alone and have three fingers pointing right back at ourselves. Probably scared the mess out of one falling too! I did not like watching this go down either.
