The biggest thing you need to do is realize he's not a baby. He is a toddler, and even if he can't always communicate, he can usually understand. It's time to start giving him consequences instead of just brushing it off "because he is a baby". The sooner that happens the sooner he will behave. Good luck!

Yay for the swimming breath! Good job Ollie. I'm so sorry about the watch. The terrible 2s are so rough! When Rosalind has a melt down she just throws herself on the ground and goes limp. It is so frustrating sometimes.

Just want to say thank you for showing a real moment with a difficult toddler. I watch a lot of family vlogs and the constantly happy families and happy moms laughing and smiling all the time make me feel like I'm doing something wrong because my life at home with a toddler can be TOUGH. It's refreshing to be able to relate, finally. Thank you and please continue to be real and honest because it truly makes me feel like I'm not alone (and I'm sure other moms feel the same!).

You two are doing a good job! Babies are tough and it's so much more than making sure everyone is happy. Knowing that your child will obey you in the dangerous moments is such a comfort. Just stay consistent!

Twos are rough girly! i completely understand the frustration, we found out we were pregnant with baby #2 exactly 1 yr ago today just as my oldest turned 2. It wasn't bad at first until he started using his words more and understanding what we were saying that he began to be "crazy". he wouldn't listen and the constant yelling just got so overwhelming sometimes. At two my husband and I had to sit down and re evaluate how we handle discipline because of course with our first its like the guinea pig child you are learning how to be parents. We learned that time outs worked best for us and also taking things away because he can be rough with stuff. ITS A LEARNING PROCESS and you guys are doing great from what I can see. I think the listening thing is the hardest part of it all.... my son is going to be 3 in 2weeks and he is still testy when it comes to listening, but since we had the new baby he is starting to learn to be a little bit quiet and he is also HUGE on being a helper. He loves to do chores. keep up the great work and just know it is okay to breakdown and cry it out. sometimes taking a moment and just letting it out makes you feel so much better.

But, I can imagine being in your third trimester of pregnancy and handling the toddler stage is a lot. You are doing AWESOME! Majority of everybody knows the struggle of that age! It's so hard but as parents we can't let it defeat us, because they look up to us for everything so if we freak out they freak out!! The 2's and 3's were so hard! I remember calling my husband in tears some days. Just hang in there. You're good parents and in years to come, you'll barely remember the hard days. Mine used to screech just like Ollie did in today's vlog, too. Parenting is tiring at this stage, but you both have this. And... its okay to cry! Hugs & lots of love!

My daughter when she was Ollie's age would automatically throw things if we noticed she had something she wasn't supposed to and said something to her about it... remotes, phones, candles, whatever she could get her hands on. One time I was at my brothers house and they had a big butcher knife on their kitchen counter that she somehow reached. As soon as I saw her I knew she would throw it if I said anything so I had to act quickly and sneak up behind her and grab it away from her so she wouldn't throw it! It was crazy but it was a phase that she eventually grew out of. Like you said discipline is all of consistent boundaries! Love you guys! (btw I'm also pregnant with my second and due at the beginning of december)

My pup loves those frosty paws! So much that I actually started making my own. They're pretty easy to throw together. * 32oz of vanilla fat free yogurt * .5 cup of Peanut Butter * 2-3 TBS of Honey * one mashed ripe banana or banana baby food Mix it all together and pour it into individual dixie cups and cover with foil. Freeze them and they're good to go :) Sometimes i'll add in some blueberries or a handful of dried oatmeal if i have some around.

Oh Missy, I've been following your channel for a little while now and I totally feel you and want to cry with you. My daughter is almost 2 and she is pretty good most of the time but she has those moments that I look at her and think "where did that come from" but it's nice that you show the great moments and the not so great moments. That's reality. We take an approach where we say "you should do this" and show them rather than "you shouldn't do that" then they may not understand why. For example, if she hits, we would teach "nice hands" instead of "no hitting " because she may not understand. Of course I don't know all of your parenting techniques but Ollie is so well adjusted and happy he just obviously had a moment and sometimes a bad day every now and then. It happens. Also I agree when they are doing something unsafe you have to take a different measure of discipline to show them the urgency of being safe.

Your not alone Missy my toddler who also turned 2 in July has become so hard out of no where...cant take shopping screams to get out of stroller or shopping trolley....and worst all of a sudden my good sleeper has gone...wakes up crying all the time we end up sleeping in the lounge room together including last night.

Susan White It will pass... what they do now could escalate to worse when they are pre-teens because people are too scared to go "No!" and shut them in their room in fear the kids will not love them anymore. Some kids are good and straighten themselves out but it is best not to depend on that... and it is best to do yourself a favour and stop it early

You're going to get a ton of parenting advice on these comments...I know that, and I haven't even read them. Everybody has their technique and opinion. I just wanted to say that you're doing a good job, and hang in there! Everyone said it sous be tough being a mom/parent, but it is REALLY TOUGH! My daughter is 2.5 and my son is 7 months, some days I just wan to scream and cry (and I do cry) and run away and take a nap lol. That's the truth of parenting! But we also know how worth it it is 😍

I don't know where the "terrible twos" phrase came from??? I think it's a prank on new parents because Three is so much more challenging!!! With both my kids three was so hard. Disciplining your babies early is so difficult because they are so sweet and cute but they will test you hard at age two and make you want to cry all day at age three. Good Luck Parents!!! Honestly every year has its ups and downs!!! But it's a blessing in the end. Mine are 16 &11. Now I'm worrying about my son driving!!! It's a wonderful journey!!!

Im so sorry the 2s have become so rough. I know exactly how u feel. When my daughter turned 3 it was like a switch flipped in her brain and life was never the same. One thing that helps for my son (2) is to give him lots of active outside time. We were at the park this morning from 9-12 playing,riding his scooter, and splashing in the creek. Right now he is too tired to act up haha! He will have a nap and then we will swim all afternoon. Keeping him busy and outside helps a lot.

I babysit a 3 and 6 year old and I feel so helpless because they do stuff like that and I feel like I can't get them under control. Luckily the job is ending soon, and at least I get to go home at the end of the day! You're doing great Missy and Bryan!!!💗

We're currently working with the same problem! Discipline doesn't come natural to toddlers, we have to teach them :) don't get down on yourself, it's normal to go through terrible twos

My son is going through the terrible 2's and it is rough also. All we have to do is redirect them and encourage them not to act that kind of behavior. I feel you momma and I am pregnant also. Praying for you guys.

I do feel for you Missy but you guys will get through the terrible 2's. I have three kids, the oldest 18. You feel helpless, but they overcome and you guys are doing an amazing job! Also loved watching Karma have his ice treat. Cute!

Oh, Missy... you will start feeling better about Ollie once you realize that there is not so much you can do about terrible twos. My 2 year old is much worse than Ollie and he finds reasons every single day to scream and demand things that he just cannot do/have. just hang in there, it will end (at least so I hear:) ... and do not forget... you are doing a great job!!! x

Oh my! My son was exactly like that! He started about a month before turning 2. He is now 2 years and 2 months and he has cooled down so much. With him it was mostly frustrations not being able to express himself verbaly as much as he'd liked to. So many tantrums troughout the day, screaming and throwing things. What we did was discipline the throwing and screaming (never yelling back at him though) in a calm way, but stricked. And we dealt with the frustration with talking to him calmly and explaining that we do not know what he wants/means, but we are trying to. We feel bad for him that he can't express it and ask if he can show us what he wants/means. If he throws a tantrum because he is not allowed something, than we try to pick him up, if he would let us (later on he would usualy let us pick him up) and explain to him why he is not allowed, in a calm voice to sooth him. And then find something to distract him from the 'incident'. Maybe this could help you too. I hope soo. 'Cause it is rough indeed. Especially while pregnant (i am 37 weeks myself right now, so I know how you feel Missy). Goodluck! It will get better :-)) Love love love the name Finley Jay and nickname Finn!!! Missy, I am right there with you sister. My daughter is like 3 months younger than Ollie and these terrible twos are the real deal. They are a game changer for sure. There was a part of me that almost mourned the loss of my child as she explored this new independent and at times rebellious side of her personality. Somehow these kids survive despite our failures, and somehow we survive them despite the struggle. Haha, you're doing great!

Oh Missy! I feel for you. It happens to all of us. I have an 11yr old and a 7yr old. Both boys and they are a handful yes but I promise it will get better of course other things will come up but hang in there. You are an amazing momma 😊

I went through the terrible 2's with my son while I was pregnant with my daughter! It was so hard! You are so lucky you have Brian home with you, the days my husband was home were much easier for me! Bringing a new baby into the terrible 2's was hard for us also! Hoping it gets better for you, sending our love!

Although people say they're the "terrible twos", each age has its own little stages of ups & downs! Our daughter is now almost 4 & definitely still has her moments too! Just stick with your goals as parents, which we know you will and you'll of course be fine!! Parenting is a journey for both of you & the kiddos as well! Just enjoy the ride bc it definitely flys by super fast! 😊

Hugs! Lots and lots of hugs!! This is a tough stage! My little girl turned two in June and she's going through a rough stage right now too. Lots of defiance and screaming and NO!! So I get it!! You're both doing great and just stay consistent!! It will get better!!!
